Thereisalight..
Once the elderly/vulnerable/front line staff get vaccinated I wonder how long it will take to allow some semblance of normality to return (fans at sport events, gigs etc)? Surely we cant continue to be panned off with excuses for why 300 folk cant be spread out, wearing facemasks and outdoors to watch Stranraer v Elgin
DeeTillEhDeh
It doesn't. Of course doesn't. But you were a child yourself one day, and you'd do well to remember thatHe still is a child going by the red-dotting campaign by him and his wee gang. -

Local authorities could lower prices especially given the captive audiences/economies of scale/purchasing power. I am in favour of schools being open at the moment, but when the schools seem to make zero effort its hard to counter the arguments being made to shut them. I cover lunchtimes in a nursery, seeing what’s served, I’d be heading offsite for food too. Awful.

Its a shame to see my earlier post concerning the health and well being of children (the most vulnerable in our society) being deemed worthy of this type of downvoting. I like to see the post played, and not the poster. Starting to fear that may not have been the case on this occasion. I mean, imagine what type of person you have to be to express displeasure at this sort of concern.... Spoiler That's correct. A Tory. -

Aye, it's here: https://beta.isdscotland.org/find-publications-and-data/population-health/covid-19/covid-19-statistical-report/16-september-2020/dashboard/ Go into the setting tab. Gives you the total number of settings mentioned for each week. You can then go to the drop down menu and look into the sub categories (for example, work and education) So for the week ending the 15th it looks to me like there was 828 mentions of education in 13,000 setting entries, or about 6.3% of all entries. Shopping (2174/16%) personal care - whatever the f**k that means (1038/8%) and eating out (942/7.2%) all showing up higher. Working in health care comes in just behind education at (701/5.3%).

It's about getting the general numbers down, a few defined exceptions won't make a difference. On their own with enough cash to fly their corpse home should the worst happen then I would tend to agree but flying out there with your kids, that have probably been in school, with travel insurance that won't even pay out for cancellation due to the pandemic so will almost certainly not pay for repatriation of a corpse. Sorry to be morbid because her situation is dire and of course everyone would do anything they could to make her limited time on earth happy and filled with memories so flying to the canaries doesn't for me merit a special case. 52 minutes ago, Steven W said: It doesn't. Stage 4 cancer doesn't mean she can conk out at any minute and it would be irresponsible for her to take her kids on holiday, it just means her lifespan is severely curtailed, there is no cure. If she feels fit enough to take her kids on holiday then she more than likely is.
