Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Recommended Posts

Interesting that the Scottish cases are higher than they’ve ever been yet SG ministers are talking up the end of restrictions more positively than they have done at any point throughout the pandemic.

Devi must be absolutely seething. Pleasing.

She’s changed her tune tbf. Although she might have changed it again knowing her.

High case numbers vs fluctuating hospital/ICU numbers and a tiny number of deaths is the perfect scenario to tell us whether the vaccination programme is working.
It's being tested here and it's clearly passing with flying colours given that we're approaching 2 months of rising numbers with no significant jump in either serious cases or deaths to compare against.
Its also surely the fastest way to herd immunity, having infections ripping through the younguns that wont be vaccinated, or at least not for ages, and likely wont trouble a box of kleenex never mind a hospital bed...

Amazed Deepti, Devi and Clownshoes didn’t get an invite and similar recognition for playing the vaccines down, taking the huff when challenged and generally being fucking arseholes with the platform they were given.

Capt. Tom's daughter probably also basked in some of the applause.

The real test for the vaccine will be during the winter when immune systems are weaker.

I know they don't want to be moving areas "down" a level / tier but it's pretty wild that East Lothian can remain in Level / Tier 1 based on those numbers but the likes of Stirling are stuck in Level / Tier 2. Although I've lost track of what you can do in each level / tier so who knows if there's that much of a difference.

Level 2 = no soft play areas.

Level 1 = bukkake parties.
