Coronavirus and the Scottish Championship

The original statement about the resolution already made a commitment to discussing league reconstruction, so this was always going to happen.

Dundee have achieved the square root of exactly nothing here.

Thats true in fact. Although one would imagine they must have received private assurances that it would be seriously considered, or at least more seriously than they obviously thought before.

Well know, you said that no promotion or relegation would be an option for her. It isnt and whatever happens the three champion sides will go up.

I don't understand the first part of your sentence.

Do you believe Ann Budge will do her utmost to keep Hearts up? She is now in a position of power here. It can still be fucked up, yes, but it's the best shot we have right now. Ball is in her court from here IMO.

What, does she possess psychic/mind control powers to ensure that it would be acceptable to every other club in the top flight and a significant majority in the lower leagues as well? How did her last hare-brained proposal get on exactly? And with the league season wrapped up the default outcome in the event of reconstruction proposals failing will be to promote the league winners and relegate the bottom-placed shite.

Certain clubs out of self-interest wanted a guarantee from the SPFL that reconstruction would take place before voting for the proposal on Friday: they didn't get it so withheld their yes vote. The SPFL agrees to set up a mere committee to make suggestions for reconstruction that still have to be approved by the usual supermajority mechanism and Dundee folds its hand in the most pathetic manner possible.

A full-blown minter.

Aye, that's totally what happened.

Does she get to cast the 12 votes?

The bigger the league the less chance of Accies being bottom 2.

Personally I'd expect Inverness and Dundee United to be better than Hamilton and St Mirren and above them in the table.

Expect away. The bigger the league, the less chance Accies have of not being bottom. That's fact. They'll usually struggle to survive in a 12 team league. 14 teams increases their prospects. What the make-up is of that 14 team league... well it's not like the DABs and ICT have offered a great deal on the pitch in recent years hence their Championship status.

What if it's 3 out of 14 to go down rather than 1.5 out of 12?

Yes and Ann Budge did a good job with the handling of the new Hearts stand didn't she.... Was more issues than just gardiner forgetting to order 3,000 seats

Out of all the chairman in the top flight who has most to gain through reconstruction at this point? She's not a great choice, she's probably not even a decent choice, but she's the best hope for something to be done.

And you think they'd agree to that? You might get 2 down and a play off but never 3 automatically. Too much to lose IMO.

Could be that they go with 14 for one season and revert back to 12 after that.

Just pointing out that going to 14 doesn't by itself mean that Accies are less likely to go down.

Never seen anyone with such a hard on for another team as you, is it possible to support two teams?

You clearly haven't looked very hard then. Do you exclusively talk in daft cliches and tropes that someone else made up or do you have any thoughts of your own.

I think it is possible for folk to support two teams, as loads of folk on here have an English team (although funnily they all tend to be the more successful ones). But I only support one team.

People keep saying that UEFA are going to have to cancel everything, as the seasons will be over.

Do you not realise that several leagues have concrete  plans to re-start in the near future?

There are teams returning to training in the next few weeks in places.

No way they'll cancel the whole thing - they'll have to do it on a case-by-case basis.
