Ray Patterson
Akinola was genuinely one of the worst players I've seen in years. Was like playing with a man down for the first 45. He probably has technical ability, but had absolutely no clue what a press was, or how to position himself or how to deal with defenders closing in. Tells you that the standard and Intensity of the EPL U23s is not very high at all.

Or that Instructions from Tam Courts are gobbledegook and new guys need to get over the shock of how much shite he speaks. Not saying he's any good but a Tam Courts pre match (ETA or any conversation really) must boggle the mind. Rather its confusion as to what is required from him from the amount of wafflepish spouted from Courts.
ArabianKnight
Aye there's stories a out Biamou not bothering turning up to training and ghosting the club. Surely they could just sack him for that to free up a wage.

If he was available he would be the very top of my list. Track record of getting the best out of what he has - the clubs he’s been at have never been the biggest spenders in their respective divisions, and I reckon he has the stature and gravitas to garner the respect of the more senior players. What really worries me is that the notoriety of Asghar is putting people off and no one wants to Be associated with him or perceived to be controlled by him in the way Courts is and to a degree Neilson was. Really good post and points. I agree Asghar would be a stumbling block to any decent manager signing.

Absolutely not, Watt's the only guy in the team who looks capable of creating anything.

Who knows though. According to thr Tele's twitter Biamou has a thigh injury that scuppered his move. Also looks like the accounts are out up until end of June 2021 (covering season with no crowds or hospo), wage bill up to 132% of turnover, but opeprating loss down from £3.19 million to £2.27 million. Ogren looking at turning a profit in accounts up to June 2022. Those would include Shankland and Smith trannsfers.

Mark Ogren has given Tam Courts the “primary objective” of making Dundee United a top six Premiership club – and keeping them there. Despite the fact United moved up a place after Saturday’s draw with St Johnstone, their run of one win in 11 league matches has seen some fans turn against the Tannadice boss. Addressing the appointment of Courts in his strategic report of the club’s annual accounts, Ogren described his head coach as the “outstanding candidate” to replace Micky Mellon last summer. But he also reiterated the main aim he has been set for this season and beyond. “When the role became available he was the outstanding candidate who was interviewed by the board,” said Ogren. “Tam’s remit is to continue with the club’s key vision of developing home grown players for the first team as well as cultivating a long-term game model across all teams and age groups within the club, with the primary objective of attaining a regular top six Premiership league position.” Ogren added: “Due to the principal activity of the company, the revenues of the business are inherently linked to the on-field performance and success of the football team. “The performance of the team in previous years led to the company making significant financial losses, which have required substantial investment to maintain the company as a going concern. “The principal risk to the business is therefore the possibility of the team being relegated to the Championship again. “The owners and board are committed to providing the required funding and infrastructure in the club to maintain it as a competitive team and going concern in the Premiership, and also to provide the platform to enhance the team’s prospects of a top-six finish and qualification for Uefa competitions.” There are currently only four points between fourth and ninth places in the Premiership, with United sitting sixth.

Cheers. Was wondering if he had got the vote of confidence from the board spiel but it doesn't look like it yet.
