The Dundee United Thread 22/23

That’s verging on “fans don’t know the game, they haven’t played at this level” type pish, and can get in the fucking sea.

The object of football is to score more goals than the opposition. Our shitey “passing” game may have a purpose, but it’s not related to that.

There's passing from side to side to retain possession and pull the opposition out then there's 15 passes between the defence then a hoof up the park.

If we worked the ball wide and made space for players to get in behind then fine. But thats not whats happening.

This pishy aimless stuff can get fucked imo. Id rather we had a 6ft6 monster we launched the ball at constantly than this stuff, at least it would be a tad quicker.

It’s a carefully planned kaizen approach to the retention of a sports utensil with the intention of driving process improvements throughout including externalised sub optimal components.

Let me guess, Adam is coming out of retirement and is centre forward and captain.  Another case of deja vu, with the best candidate under our noses all the time, despite having no comparable experience?

Our Sporting Director reveals that at only 27 we have to expect to lose him to a Premier League team at the end of the Season.  Gerrard and Vieira already fighting it out.

Adam is quoted as saying he's flattered at the confidence his Dad the Sporting Director has in him.

4th 🤷‍♀️

Anyway. Better.

Won't get carried away but at least there's grounds to build on.

McDonald was (understandably) rusty but him and Levitt is a more functional midfield and if we play (Harkes/Pawlett/Mochrie/Meekison) alongside them rather than trying to squeeze in a 3rd forward I'm happier.

Anybody have any info on the McLeod kid. Did he get on as United's youngest ever player cos he's a genuine exciting talent, or just because they could?
