peasy23
Will Big Sam resign to preserve his "never relegated" record?Exactly the same thought crossed my mind when that 4th goal went in. Nothing in this squad suggests they can stop leaking goals.

GordonS
It's hilarious when you read the early pages of the Kieran Tierney thread here, all the snide negativity. This may be a relatively weak Arsenal team but he's probably the most important player at the club right now. He's one of the few in good form and he's showing leadership with his intensity, decision making and eagerness to attack. Everything good is going through him down that left side tonight. I'm sure he would never have wanted to be at a struggling team but the bright side for his own career is that it's allowed him to become a central player even though he's young and hasn't played many games yet.

He's been Arsenal's most consistent player in the games I've watched lately.
Bishop Briggs
So that's 17 goals conceded by West Brom in their last 4 home games - against Arse-nal, Palace, Villa and Leeds. Yet, in the meantime, they drew away to Man City and Liverpool. The Hawthorns must be cursed!

peasy23
I’m pretty sure Paul Dickov scored for Arsenal in the early 90s.7 goals in 26 games in all competitions according to Wiki. Started the 94 Cup Winners Cup final win in place of the suspended Ian Wright.
NorthernLights
Scott Marshall also scored for Arsenal in the league in March 1996.
vikingTON
Crystal Palace adding Eze while Sheffield United spunked their budget on about six donkeys instead sums up why only of the two clubs are staying put at that level.
Theroadlesstravelled
West Bwom looking worse under Allerdyce than Billic. Delightful.
Mvondo_the_great
Tierney needs to keep practising if he wants to go to the euros. Improvement required.
raith_94
Unsurprisingly lazy stat from the BBC.To think Tierney spent the first half of the season at centre half so Maitland-Niles could get a game.

He was very good at centre-back after the restart in June/July when Arsenal barely lost a game and won the FA Cup.

There's not much difference to be honest. Since the start of December, their performances at the Hawthorns have been abysmal. Allardyce's last two home results were 4-0 and 5-0 defeats. Bilic's last two home results were 3-0 and 5-1 defeats. That's 1 goal scored and 17 conceded! Sheffield United is the only team that they've beaten at home this season. Both teams are not good enough to survive and rightly going down.

I haven't checked, but some folk on twitter are saying the actual stat was that he was the first Scot to score in an away league game for Arsenal since Charlie Nicholas, and Lineker made a c**t of it. That would be supported by OptaJoe's take.
raith_94
He was very good at centre-back after the restart in June/July when Arsenal barely lost a game and won the FA Cup.Indeed he was. Although Maitland-Niles was unimpressive at LB. Cup or no cup. Having Tierney and Saka on either flank has immediately made Arsenal look a lot better.
