At that point I thought Biden would take Nevada, Wisconsin, Michigan and Arizona but fall just short in Pennsylvania and Georgia - that was still enough. Nancy Pelosi would still have been able to kick up a fuss over any perceived threat to the GFA at the House of Representatives level on any UK-US trade deal if Biden had lost so the role of the president was in no way pivotal on Boris being able to get what he wanted.
