An early exchange of queens made this a tactical midfield slugfest that eventually petered out into the draw. We've been in strong training since last time and despite our league form not improving, there has been a visible improvement in the performances and we're all delighted not to end the season grannied and with at least a point on board. NotThePars went on the offensive and my defending was a little bit ropey at times. His Queen and bishop were both pointing menacingly at my king for a while but the turning point was managing to force the Queen exchange and get the bishop out of it for free.
