They’ll nod back to it by calling the act the UK Cull Homeless Ratification.

I prefer the UK Compassionate Homeless Response.

"Cull" is just so...Reichy.

Maybe instead of cracking down on begging, they should create policies that reduce it?

Those beggars they see no problem with stigmatising are human beings like the rest of us, and if given employment opportunities, housing and practical support could do just as well as anyone else.

It’s not just a case of increasing benefits either, but having a system where every single person can have a sense of purpose and worth.

Is it possible?  Of course it is, but it involves radical ideas and thinking outside the box.  I just don’t see it happening with our current crop of politicians, Tory or otherwise.

Add the current Sir Kier's 'Tory-light' Labour Party to those sentiments and you're bang-on.

Nothing like starting off your Sunday morning by openly calling for Kristallnacht

Perfectly normal though that this current Tory administration would have an out and out racist as home secretary. Probably the singular most evil politician I can remember in my lifetime.

If that’s true WTF have these c***s been doing about it for the last 13 years? It’s a confession of dereliction of duty.

Or on the other hand now that everything else has failed it’s time for the Tommy Yaxley Robinson Whateverhisnameis playbook before the election. Muslamic Ray Guns are back on the agenda.

Dog whistle politics of the worst sort.

I am the most sandal wearing, bearded woke lefty I know.........but there's an kernel of truth in what she says (I know, I feel disgusted saying that).

Asian gangs in Bradford etc have targeted vulnerable young white girls for some time in order to use them in the local sex trade.

......... however, white gangsters have been doing it for years which also needs acknowledgement. It's hardly confined to Pakistani gangs !

She is definitely playing to the gammons with this tho.

The Home Office report in 2020 concluded that most members of "grooming gangs" were white men.

Obviously because of the relative size of populations it's still possible for some ethnic groups to be more likely to be part of one and still be a minority of the offenders. I would assume (maybe cynically) that the government was looking for such a link and if they could have found it they would have.

If i remember correctly though there were specific failings in Rotherham with people not investigating properly due to cultural sensitivity or something.

That was a while ago and firmly within the government's responsibility to sort out.

I agree that there is some truth, but it's presented disingenuously as a racial issue when in fact it was an institutional issue, and if it's still a problem, it's a problem because the government didn't give enough of a shit about poor girls to do anything.

It's playing to a nasty stereotype that the far right have been using for ages.

The issue with grooming gangs isn't one of race but one of males controlling and abusing vulnerable young women.

By focusing on the stereotype of" grooming gangs are Asian" she is deliberately playing on the racialist tendencies of the gammony working classes.

The 2020 Home Office report was pretty vague on the ethnicity issue, largely due to the data available.  The MSM reporting of the report was pretty selective.
