This person phoned the police numerous times to say “there’s a bam with a shotgun hiding in my house and he says he’s going to kill Welsh”. Police turned up and failed to spot the large man in the loft with a shotgun. This witness later died in witness protection. They then appeared to have said they told Welsh his life was in danger but in fact somehow hadn’t delivered the warning. To try and make him look like a gang land figure they said cable ties and a knife were found in his car (a battered old Panda). Sounds dodgy? He was the first person to be banned from every nightclub in Edinburgh for life (after throwing a petrol bomb at a doorman) and he was fined for breaking lockdown rules by crashing a jet ski off Granton harbour.
