I subscribe to The Digger and can thoroughly recommend it. Great reporting that the likes of the Record should be doing but are too scared. Can’t remember how much the year’s subscription was but every week it has me gripped.

You've catapulted me back in time and as I read Arnot McWhinnie, I recall making a note of how he must have been skillful in his balance. I remain glad that it remains geographically remote to me.

I hardly think sitting in a court room and reporting on what is almost always the worst-off members of society at their lowest, branding people beasts, junkies and trannies, before anyone has been convicted is great reporting. A token "All persons are presumed innocent until found guilty" at the bottom of the page doesn't change that.

It's the written equivalent of Jeremy Kyle or those paedo-hunter weirdos on Facebook and much like them, the boy that runs the Digger is almost certainly projecting to cover for himself being a total no-righter.

£2 per issue.

Or £110 for all 52 issues.

£2 x 52 = £104

£110 ÷ 52 = £2.12 per issue.

So well done on being a dumpling on two accounts.

One hundred and ten pounds

I dont really know where else to put this so I'll put it in spoilers.

Spoiler

Week past Friday. Morrisons car park. Around 10pm. Pitch black and I see a guy standing on his phone with what appears to be a big loop of metal above his head. The light directly above the van starts flickering then goes out. A few moments later my dash shows "interior electrics disabled" and the locks open. I panic and rattle the keys and see a hand and a phone light in the passenger side wing mirror at the side door. I drive off, immediately followed by three cars who took off but stopped just outside Morrisons at the big circle. I then drive to near my home but not my home where a xar turns up and stops, lights go out and although not clear I can see a door open. Several minutes pass and then the car starts again drives by me, turns and parks about 20 metres behind me and switches off. The lights go out and a few moments later there are two mobile like lights walking towards my van. I drive off and that's that.

Friday I was in Inverness then down to Sundee to a mates. About 9pm I go to Sainsburys and after shopping I sit reading the paper. The light above my van starts flickering and once again I get the dashboard message. I again, panic. What followed was nothing short of fucking mental. Long story short, I've ended up pulling an all nighters determined I was being followed by 5 or 6 cars. There's a winch under the van missing, tools are missing and certain electrics on the van don't work. I turned up at a police station to be told "you seem a bit paranoid". I seen a couple of the cars who were following me and the police said to drive somewhere I felt comfortable. I pointed out two cars that past that I recognised. I drove to a spot I chose and lo and behold the car I pointed out to the police followed us there. They said it could be a coincidence. I agreed to let it lay and they left me at home - a few hours later I had a knock at the door saying it looks like my lights and window wipers have been left on. I said to the neighbour to go back in their home and don't worry about it. Contacted the police and walked to the van. It was unlocked and the 12v 'lighter' bit was open. I locked the van and went back in. An hour later I seen 2 guys at the van and a car in the car park that I think I recognised so me going fight or flight took a knife out and again, the van was unlocked but nobody was there. I started shouting in the street and coupled with the knife, this seen me psych warded.

Every professional mental health doctor or crisis team has said it doesn't seem like I have any need for bring there. I was released and have heard nothing more from the police.

An absolutely demoralising and quite frankly, shite state of affairs. I care not a jot whether the van remains or goes. I care deeply about telling them I'm not going to the house so they can't know where I stay and now after the fact, they've fucked off and I'm left jumping when the toaster pops.

By the sounds of it you've either been overdoing it and need about 48 hours sleep, or you should get the f**k out of Dundee sharpish, preferably to an airport.

I was driving today and I heard a bang. I looked to see my left side wing mirror was slammed into the window. I was sure I was nowhere near the parked cars. I had a look in my rear view mirror and I could see someone next to a parked car with his arms in the air and waving them about like he was angry. I was like...shit! There was a queue of traffic behind me so I did not stop but pulled in when I came to a bus stop.

I had a look at my mirror, the glass was still okay but the back was missing, I thought about going back to the guy to apologise but I never did. I drove home and had another look at my mirror, I managed to fit it back in tried the electrics, it worked okay, I was only missing the back of the wing mirror.

I sat in the car and thought about what had just happened and decided to walk back to where I thought I had hit another car. I was thinking that, maybe, the guy in the other car opened his door and that was why my wing mirror was broken. Maybe, he had not bothered to look in his mirror to see if it was okay to open his door and my mirror had hit his open door so it would have been his fault that we had this small collision.

I walked to the place where the accident had happened but I could not see any damaged car and I could not see the back of my wing mirror. Hmm! Maybe, he has picked up the cover to use as evidence against me. Maybe, he will find out what kind of car hit his by examining the piece of my car he has in his possession.

Okay, I should call my insurance company and call the police and own up. It was me and it was an accident, I drove away,I was wrong, I am sorry.

I walked home and I had something to eat and I thought about it. After eating I decided I would have another look to see if I could find the car I hit, to see how much damage there was. I walked to where I thought I had hit a car but instead of finding a damaged car I found the bit of my wing mirror that was missing. Brilliant! I picked it up and went home.

Now I am thinking that the guy in my rear view mirror was just some guy talking to another guy and he had not seen me hit the other car, that the other car I hit was not damaged but only my own and that I should forget about telling the insurance company and telling the police and that I should keep the wing mirror cover as my reward .

Tricky one but I think you'd be best to report it to the police, you only need to say that you hadn't noticed at the time due to outside noise/busy traffic etc and you don't know where it happened but if anyone has damage from your car this is why.

If the man waving arms makes anything of it or has CCTV then you could end up in the shit, having a "failing to stop after an accident" charge on your insurance would make the premiums rocket on top of possible fines and points.

I depressingly worked in car insurance for two years and this was almost as bad as having a "driving without insurance" charge on your record for increasing the premiums.

This case was mentioned in here a few months back. Not exactly organised crime but references to a prominent Leith street gang, the YLT, in the case.

I think the older guy may possibly be one the inspirations for Begbie from Trainspotting.

I'll be keeping an eye on this one.

Three young guys part of a burglary gang were being chased by gardai and died in a fireball driving into a truck on the wrong side of a dual carriageway.

Apparently the chase is meant to be called off if this happens but the garda kept going.

Their funerals were arranged by a directors who specialise in scumbag sendoffs. The videos are something else.

The memorials that their families had left at the site have been vandalised multiple times.

Aye. Tools still missing. Battery been 'scarred' and needed replaced and wheels slashed.

Police were contacted and they have no record of any of it being reported - I went to my Dr and got the notes sent from psych ward.

It's now no longer a police matter.
