Andy Dufresne
I was at Falkirk v Motherwell years ago and when it was abandoned due to floodlight failure they just happened to have vouchers to hand out to fans for the next game hmmmmm

Slightly further afield but Burntisland Shipyard hanselled their floodlights as recently as 2 days ago.

It must get dark early in Kirkcaldy for street lights to be on at 20.00.

Raith Against The Machine
Bill Clark has basically just given a mea culpa on the radio, but there were streetlights down as far as Morrisons, so either it was a wider issue or the Rovers have managed to f**k half the energy supply in the town.

Shades of 2013 when Uncle Roy's floodlights failed and the Highland Derby was kyboshed. He blamed the DNO (that's the electricity supply company) but I have it on good authority that his super duper new lights were commissioned on a "homer". With new electrical installations there needs to be a grading study and that simply means that if there is a fault in the ground, the local protection should operate before any of the apparatus outside. Sounds to me like such a study will be reactively considered.

stevoraith
Only power outage was within the stadium Where have you popped up from? This isn’t true. Power in Pratt street down apparently. Floodlights on because they have their own generator. But with no stadium lights or cctv etc police wouldn’t let game continue.

Makes us long for the times you could pay at the turnstile, or in less modern times - some old boy would rip your ticket stub to gain entry
