One of those professional jobs that teams seemed to do to us regularly at this level over the years. Got the goal first half, dug in second and saw it out with some resolute defending. Should have killed the game actually, McCarthy missed a sitter to make it two from a free kick. MOTM Erhahon for me. Got the goal first half and he was everywhere second half, outstanding performance. Defence was solid aswell, captain Joe in particular, seemed to head everything away.Heard Martindale say a couple of weeks ago. ‘Livi will not be relegated’ and thought ooft, head’s going a bit there. Reminded me of Steven Pressley’s infamously similar rant in 2010 when manager of Falkirk. They were relegated of course, and they’ve not been heard of since, think they play in the Lowland League now. The sort of workrate we need to see from him every time. Decisions like that make you seriously question the manager because the latter is hopeless. St. Mirren defending the punts up well but didn't have a serious question to answer until the last 15 minutes. Ludicrous tactics against a massive backline. Dreadful attempt from Bailey when he had a 1 on 1. Even if Shaughnessy (who would improve us immensely) hadn't have blocked it, it was going straight at Alnwick. Zero composure at a crucial moment.
