buchan30
Man Utd vs Liverpool next week too. Battle of the crisis clubsEven with Liverpools results, you would fancy them against that man united defence. They couldn’t handle Brentford pressing them high up the pitch. De Gea cannot play out from the back, his decision making on Saturday was woeful at best. The back four aren’t any better. Was having this discussion at work today and Ten Haag isn’t going to change the way he plays, so If liverpool press the way they are capable of, they will put 4 or 5 past them next week.,

Not only does his professional career consist of not very much (4 goals and 3 assists in the league) they also have loads of players in a similar position. Why not just use someone like Callum Hudson Odoi or Pulisic? The former is even more homegrown than Gordon.... It's like they are using a dartboard for transfers.

pozbaird
Big six down there, going to be a big seven in a season or so when Newcastle’s sportswashing truly kicks in. Already, Fulham and Palace have taken something from Liverpool, and Chelsea v Spurs was a draw. Gary Neville’s Manchhessserunited are a basket case, and surely, surely to goodness, Arsenal aren’t the real deal. It’s been a fantastic start to the new EPL season. Managers fighting, nutters nutting people, Forest back, and getting a win against a big London club who play to 50,000 every week. I can’t wait for the next round of games. The big question is Man City. Will they falter? When they have a ton of tougher games yet to face. Get the popcorn in.
eez-eh
I thought the big thing that could go against Man City is Haaland’s injury record, but based on the games so far they’re probably still better than everyone else without him.

Liverpool, City, Arsenal and Spurs all adding players sensibly. Chelsea have went back to the beginning of the Abramovich era and just throwing money at anyone half decent. Man Utd are making a complete c**t of it.
Luddite
10 hours ago, oaksoft said: Why would you make that comparison? Because we are discussing the performance of a sport at the highest level, removing all barriers, distinctions, exceptions, identifying those individuals who can perform the key facets (in this case sprinting, endurance running, tackling, agility, retaining the ball, heading the ball, shooting in goal) of given sport at the absolute highest level, against opponents also performing at the absolute highest level. So removing all barriers and exceptions could male youths, female youths and adult females compete favorably with adult males? If not then it’s not the highest level of competition. If FIFA decided their World Cup competition should be made up of teams consisting of the absolute best selection of players from each country, spots open to anyone regardless of age , gender or any other distinction, would any men’s national team see a change in their current personnel?

I don't think that's fair. There's talk this rumoured Chelsea bid hasn't even happened and it is in fact from Gordon's camp. Satoshi
Disappointing, let's hope the transfer can be rescued. Playing for Man Utd is the footballing equivalent of being sent to Coventry so you can hardly blame him for asking for a kings ransom - average player though he is. De Jong surely won't be touching them with a bargepole.
