The police seem to be investigating an Amazon Prime account. This explains why they have been talking about fridge freezers, razor blades and gardening equipment - presumably if they can identify SNP funds being used to buy personal items from this account that they found being used in peoples houses then that could constitute a crime. Also has tax implications I believe.

Is that what this has been watered down to now ffs razor blades and gardening equipment. This is going to look very tin pot for EVERYONE involved on both sides if this is where we are heading.

How much ppe does it buy

No idea, you would need to define the type of ppe you intend buying.

I don't think ppe was included on the stuff bought on the Amazon Prime account.

Ultimately a party that has been accused of having one dimension and one policy for years, using money it was given for independence on anything else it did, probably didn't occur to it as wrong,  let alone illegal

Considering some of the things the Conservatives have been up to over the decades which not aware have been prosecuted the case against the snp is as described by other posters completely tin pot

What the publics focus should be on and is the staggering awful and ill thought out policy being spewed out

The latest being lets fundamentally change the legal system without first properly canvassing...the legal system

A troupe of baboons could do better

How many trials have been stopped due to press coverage in modern Scotland? Plenty of investigations receive huge coverage before going to trial.

There is a difference between factual reporting and hearsay/opinion.

It's pretty clear that The Record aren't interested in facts but in rumourmongering and innuendo.

And they've been fined for it in the past.

I'm no Murrell fan - if he's guilty throw the book at him - however, if The Record prejudices any evidence it could end up undermining the case - not stopping the trial but having evidence undermined etc because of their actions.

Nothing would surprise me where the Crown Office is concerned. The levels of incompetence exemplified in the Salmond debacle would take some beating though. Still a long way to go to reach those levels.

Sounds awfully like him cranking up (yet) another conspiracy theory. Got to keep those cash donations coming in somehow, I guess?

He's talking garbage as usual. Today's "revelation" from a BBC FOI request is that it took the Crown Office 2 weeks to approve the search warrant. The search went ahead as soon as it was granted and that has zero bearing on what has happened (or rather not happened more like) since. In a case like this a fortnight to approve a warrant after a provisional application given the high profile nature is not excessive yet it's being peddled as "obstruction".

He has now tweeted that we should watch Police Scotland twitter first thing tomorrow morning.

Whats incredible about all of this stuff is how porous the inquiry etc is - it seems like there are people "in the know" all over the place...............except the general public who are kept in the dark as per.

Aye cause Police Scotland always make their big case decisions public via Twitter. It's their highest profile case in years ffs.
