So here I am now that you're in the league asking the all important question.

Why are you called the Spartans? Last I checked Edinburgh isn't near Greece.

Edinburgh was once called the Athens of the North, which is why we've got an unfinished Parthenon on Calton Hill and the council has Greek levels of debt.

Oh yes Athens that famously "Spartan" region 🤦‍♂️🤣

As we Edinburgh Greeks say ya radgey malakas!

Anyway, there's a Macedonia in Glenrothes and General Yahoorsiros will lead his Fifer phalanxes south for conquest soon enough

Callum Mackay has signed for Berwick. Any thoughts?

He has played 3 times for the first team. Twice in cup games and once in the dead rubber at the end of the season at Berwick. He is too old to stay at U20 level and didnt want to go on loan to an EOS club. His dad is Malky Mackay, so should have the right genes.

Historic match for Spartans this weekend at home against Clyde with Spartans probably favorites after a superb league cup group effort..Who would have ever thought this.

The pyramid should have been opened up long before it was.Good luck Spartans.
