St.Johnstone's total fouls and completed passes must be fairly similar.

Last update on Fotmob was both on 10 fouls.

County with 133 accurate passes, Saints with 195.

Enjoyed Careys jog back at the second.

If we are going to stick with 4-3-3 need to find a striker that can play on his own. Can't take a whole season of May hoping centre halves miss the ball.

Carey signed based on his ball striking ability, given a massive 2yr deal despite being in his mid-30s because of this.

What follows is the worst consistent set play taker i can remember us ever happening. Literally every corner or free kick is a waste of time.

Carey seems like a bit of a w**k as well. So selfish and petty kick out today.

Max and Ballantyne are both miles off it, get them both on loan to the Championship.

May does nothing yet again. Even though it wasn't Gordon's worst game he still looks like a park player while playing average.

Not a good day for McClelland.

Should’ve been a lot more but a good three points nonetheless. The Perth hammer throwers looked hopeless apart from a 15/20 minute spell in the second half.

He was a bit quieter in the second half, but James Brown looks like he might be the best right back we’ve had in years.

Good game management by Malky. Switching to the back five against a 442 would usually invite the opposing full backs forward to get involved, but they were McGowan and Considine.

I would have liked to have seen Brophy on sooner and maybe Henderson, if there hadn’t been a change of shape.

Randall my motm. Phillips had the better of Loturi but Randall was faultless today, doing the Don Cowie thing of plugging the gaps. Max didn’t get any change out of him after coming on. Randall also carried the ball really well for one moment, with a lovely weighted pass for Sims in the second half in the build up to a chance. Sims didn’t play badly but he must start producing goals and assists soon.

Next three fixtures: Celtic (A), Dundee (H), Rangers (H).

We won't take anything from Rangers or Celtic so it's highly likely we won't have a single point after five games unless we get a result against Dundee.

I suspect this season might see us set the record for the lowest final point tally of any SPL club in the 21st century.

Suspected for a while we'll be down, at least unofficially, before the split.

This season was always about starting again and just trying to stay above water, but fucking hell we look like we're going down with a whimper.

There were obviously a few excuses to us being below par, lots of injuries, new players not used to each other etc, but individually we have to do better.

Ballantyne runs around on the periphery of the game like he’s just happy to be there. Phillips maybe makes a lot of mistakes and can be careless, but at least he’s trying to get involved.

Carey very poor today. Had the ball at his feet a number of times yet failed to get a decent ball in every time. When he had it deeper he’d invariably cut inside and try a long loopy pass forward that was easily cleared. At least Steven and Max tried to get a bit of short passing with tempo going, which May also got involved in until county made changes and shored it up.

Agree about May. He put a shift in today on no service at all and even won a few headers, but he’s not a lone striker and never has been. We can’t persist with it. Compare it to White and Murray for county, neither of which are going to be on anyone’s dream list of signings, but they both have obvious strengths that you can play to.

Still, Celtic park next, piece of piss…

Might as well get the record for both centuries !

Really hard to see what the point of Ballantyne is now.

You can discuss players quality etc., but its hard to see many there who look ready mentally for a proper relegation slog.
