The "swish, thud, thud, swish" of mountain bike tyres rolling over some sweet single track.

Watching my puppy playing.

Snuggling into bed when you're absolutely knackered and knowing that you don't have to be anywhere tomorrow.

Yes that is an absolutely brilliant shout.

A proper fish supper wrapped in paper so when yo walking up the road it is nearly burning your hand but not quite, and tearing open the end for that waft of hot chips and vinegar and steam rising out as you sneak a couple out before you make it home

Waking up in the morning, looking out and finding it has snowed overnight.

See also, coming out the pub to be met with this.

Or going out at night in the snow to listen to the sound of silence (not the Simon and Garfunkel version).

When it's 4am, and I don't want to be awake, but I have to go to work, and I'm not feeling good, I'm actually feeling really down, and then I see something on here, which gives me a real belly laugh.

It's a simple thing, but it sets me up for the for the day.

On a related note, apologies to anyone who has alerts on, and gets a greenie from me at 4am.
