Queen's Park vs Ayr - Friday Night Fitba'!

Musonda Stanger McGinty Reading

    Chalmers Young Syla Murphy

                 Dowds Amartey

Don't know if I can be arsed with this one. Just feel so scunnered after Friday.

Also regarding QP, what seems to be the problem(s) with the team? Thought you would be challenging for top 4.

There is no way he starts Amartey, must have caught him laughing at his hair loss or something.

So many changes in our squad week to week, yet the defence stays the same, this Friday will be no different. Won’t be going and at the point don’t particularly care about keeping up to date with the game.

Two managers badly in need of a win to keep the hounds at bay: who's getting the sack first, Bullen or Veldman?

I don't think there's any chance Veldman comes close to getting sacked unless we eventually find ourselves pretty much cut off from the rest of the league in the bottom two by February or so.

Looked a little like Healy had done his hamstring on Saturday so assume he might be a doubt.

Cant afford to lose Thomson's energy in the centre and badly need Thomas and Robson paired up again on the same wing.  Ayr aren't exactly scoring freely, so a chance to give Reid a shot beside Fox, with Longridge keeping the RB berth behind Hepburn, though maybe it's time to put a rocket up him by benching him for Rocco.

Can we give Paton some sort of luminous balaclava to wear so our midfield can find him?

Take a look at the Dunfermline match thread for insight into our “tactics” and squad building

So it seems like the problems are:

- Bad substitutions/game management

- Ineffective style of play

- Numerous players not good enough

- Too many young guys in the squad

- General lack of options in key areas

Yeah, pretty much the same down here.

Watret  Stanger  Musonda  Reading

   Chalmers  Syla    Smith   Murphy

                 Dowds  Amartey

Would be keen to see Senga play as I thought he was decent in the first half against Falkirk but for me I’d be playing Smith and Syla from the start in midfield. Give Dowds his debut and bring Amartey into the team.

I know there is the good enough then play him argument, and I see where you are coming from as we are far better developing him that continuing to play people not good enough but chucking him into the side when it is this shambolic could set him pretty far backwards. Especially as he won’t have any form of protection really.

ETA, didn’t actually say that was about Watret 😂

I had contemplated maybe putting Smith in front of him for protection but I genuinely think he might be our best right back at this point. McAllister will be so exposed on the wide pitch and Ahui is just dire. You could maybe put Musonda at right back and keep McGinty but I’m not sure he’s all that suited to playing full back.

It’s ridiculous that after last season we’re now far worse off at right back than left back.
