Yeah, I concur here, was planning to head down today, checked the weather forecast, decided against it.

Bone dry on the Clyde Riviera, while you ditched your beloved team because you could have gotten a wee bit wet at the fitba.

Assuming that's French centre back, Blues right back, Gillespie and Power sitting, Muirhead and Boyd wide. Still obvious weaknesses there with Gillespie and Power's lack of pace and possibly be exposed on the right, especially if Muirhead spends more time there than Boyd, but at least not needing to protect a 39 year old centre back should let us get closer to last season's pressing game without leaving horrible gaps to exploit.

Wasn't feeling overly optimistic all week but broadfoot being out and the fact that last season the teams that tried to play football tended to struggle against us has given me some hope.

The result is crucial above anything but I'm really hoping we see the sort of performance that resembles what we know the players can give.

The rain will be the only time you will be using an analogy about getting anything wet today.

For 30 minutes there we looked far more like the Morton of last season. Not having a 39 year old in defence means they can hold a higher line and the team can press properly without leaving huge gaps exposing the midfield, while Oakley giving us a focal point makes a big difference in possession. Just a shame we don't have a footballer in place of Boyd, who has done his bit to ruin every single one of our attacks.

Then we still concede a ridiculously easy goal. I don't even know where Power and Gillespie were there, it was so simple.

We now need seven points from the next three games just to be in a relegation battle as opposed to being cut adrift.

As soon as we went behind we were beaten there. Speculative crosses from deep were all we had to offer.

Talk sense.

No Morton supporter would turn down 4 points from the next 3... after 1 from the last 6, that's the definition of 'steadying the ship'.

And 5 or 6 points would be a fantastic return in current circumstances (literally).
