Given our limited individual quality in forward areas, and generally us having one of the lowest budgets in the league, the results that we are getting are fantastic and a real credit to McCabe. Even games that we lose are usually by one goal and there's not much in the games. We look so well drilled and organised and he is getting everything out the players.

Would be interesting to know how much of an impact McCabe and Fordyce playing under Murray has had on their ability to out think him tactically so far. Also playing with Easton and Smith will have helped work out how to limit their influence. I've always said about Murray that his recruitment is excellent and his ability to build a club and add a level of professionalism is great, but he's pretty average (arguably poor) tactically. He has Plan A, and then Plan B is chuck on every substitute and hope for the best - which in fairness has worked quite a lot for Raith this season. But you'd probably hope for a bit more tactical nous if you're going for the title.

Abysmal from Rovers today. Powderpuff.

1 win in 4 against the team we own this season in Dunfermline.

Thats twice now Connolly has came on as sub and looked like he might actually do something, needs to be given a start. Millen looked ok but he’s now out and Hamilton was at least a focal point after winning no second balls prior. Eastons form has dropped massively and kept slowing the game down for me. Callum Smith - jeez, shocker of a game.

Zero complaints about the result and Murray again getting this one wrong.

Airdrie were excellent today, tactics were absolutely bang on.

Murray got almost everything wrong today, but the way we tried to get into the game in that last half hour was really fucking terrible.

Ah well. Can't win them all. If we'd went 14 games without a win rather than 14 unbeaten, then I'd be concerned. Every team has a blip or a bad result. Players are only human after all.

Agree philpy

Dont think its time to start flapping after just our 2 nd league defeat

Don’t think Ian Murray will enjoy these fixtures much. This was the 9th Raith Rovers vs Airdrie match he’s been involved in and he’s yet to win one.

No complaints with the result.

The Airdrie right back was absolutely superb all game. In general Airdrie stuck to their game plan and after 270 mins we've got no idea how to beat them.

We won next to no second balls, amd we were careless with our passing.

Keeper was the only player I thought did well for us. Connolly improved things and I would have him start next Sat.

We're way beyond where we expected to be in the league, but the last few games have not been pretty to watch.

McNeil done well in goals, didn’t have too much to do but his kicking is much better than big kev.

What a save he had from Toderov at 0-0. We had a great view, it was a peach!

The Twitter algorithm seems to have started showing up posts from raith fans who are upset/shocked that we had the audacity to celebrate a win against one of the best teams in the league, even though they are 17 points ahead of us. Are we not allowed to celebrate a good win? Is there a particular points threshold that would allow us to celebrate without being questioned?

We’ve dished it out plenty on the socials so folk just have to suck it up and take it on the chin. If you can’t take it when it bites you back on the arse then don’t dish it out!
