St Mirren V St Johnstone 24th February

Congratulations to Sidibeh on winning whatever competition he won to get a chance to play.

If we really want to do this long ball pish I'd be getting Kimpioka on.

Poor from everyone for the goal, once again a player just isn't closed down which leads to us conceding.

A fucking short corner 😭

We take those constantly then inevitably give the ball away or fail to get a cross in or, at best, hit the first man.

Bad enough at the best of time, but with seconds to go til half time is inexcusable.

Kimpioka has been taken out of the team just at the point where he started to look like he had something about him.

I think he means, cause we're pish.

Which would be factually correct.

Murder so far. Zero confidence on the ball beyond the half way line. Constantly panicked and very loose.

On queue Robinson and Carey make an arse of it.

Hes probably on about the negative shite-ball we've had to endure for the past 3 years.

Aye exactly this. Such a vanilla team. Our most (only) creative player is about 50 yards away from where he should be, we carry absolutely zero threat out wide - further compounded by playing a left back at right wing back.

Beyond the point of even getting annoyed by it now. Just meh.

Kimpiokas awful for me, and he absolutely stinks of someone who'll spend a battle of a match just rolling about the floor complaining to the ref.

Genuinely be fine with virtually every player in our squad except the goalkeepers leaving.

A textbook St Johnstone performance. Fill the team with defenders, be clueless in how to build any kind of meaningful attack, routinely fail to play a simple 10 yard pass.

A nothing game where again the manager will think it’s all going to plan because we’re level. And then, predictably, the opposition score. And it’s over.

The inability to cross a ball; Smith and Gallacher showing under 14’s technical crossing ability, deciding to play a short corner on the stroke of half time, Robinson again turning his back as he half heartedly attempts to block a shot.

Cowards. Incompetent. Hopeless. That would be my summary of our first half performance.

Drey Wright is fairly mild mannered but you can tell what he thinks of the way we approach matches just now.

Any chance we could pressurise their defence instead of standing off and letting them stroll out. Works for them anyway.
Dan looking pretty disinterested in the Centre today.

we’re fucked.

That's something I was curious about. I understand wanting Clark to start given how good a goalscorer he is, but why play him with Sidibeh instead of Kimpioka?

Sidibeh genuinely looks like a part time footballer, which isn't his fault.

Still expecting Nicky Clark to score a couple of worldies.

We had a couple of chances early on when Boyd-Munce had the ball on the edge of the box , he had to slip Kiltie in for one of them.

Goal out of nothing really, Perth Saints have had a couple of dangerous crosses to nobody in the box.

The half time "highlights" on Saints TV are an endless loop of us giving the ball away under no pressure, and St Mirren players wandering up the park and getting shots away from the edge of the box without a single Saints player even attempting to make a tackle. Grim stuff.

If there was a reality TV series where they selected a random bunch of misfit applicants (with no prior knowledge or experience of football) to form a team with the intention of participating in a professional match within a few months, this is the kind of ominous performance they'd produce in the mid-season finale episode during a practice game.

Clark will probably be off at half time for another defender. A 1-0 loss away to a top 6 side with no chances given away in the second half? Levein will be buzzing.
