Life on Marrs?
A. When the leagues got called when covid hit. Stranraer accepted the leagues decision (probably couldn't afford to do anything else) , unlike Hearts & Partick who appealed & came up with alternative ideas. B. Don't like plastic nouveau riches clubs C. I'm a traditionalist/ old fart who sees any change as a bad thing. D. Love their highlights package, commentary especially. Stranraer it is for me, c'mon the blues!

billyg
Lots of memories of games v Stranraer down the years , some good some bad , including a defeat at neutral Somerset Park in a SC 2nd replay. They're a real club , and Scottish football doesn't need any more real clubs going out of the League set up !

This, always felt Stranraer are a proper provincial club who live within their means, represent their town with pride, own and maintain a tidy wee ground. Praying they survive this playoff and keep out another club that is probably just a project and is only successful due to heavy short to medium term investment that will eventually endanger proper clubs who are run well but can’t afford players who should be a higher level. That same club with big investment that will ultimately have the plug pulled on it meanwhile clubs with generations of fans struggle to compete. C’mon Stranraer, do this for your own survival and for the rest of us good part time clubs, we’re behind you.

Hearts took legal action, a mystery benefactor came forward to enable Partick to do the same, I don't recall Stranraer doing anything like that at the time?

O'Kelly Isley III
I've been thinking about this tie, and whilst it is obviously a huge one for Stranraer it's probably the biggest that East Kilbride will have ever faced - and I include the Scottish Cup. That can do strange things to teams, and it will all probably end up having less to do with perceived form and playing-squads-on-paper than who actually performs over the 180 minutes, and who wants it more.

They rely on handouts from the league called “prize money”. They’ll end up in the SoSL when they have to be self sustaining! -

Nobody would give the bottom 2 leagues a penny in sponsorship money. -

Unlike your own club which leeches tens of thousands of 'football supporters' each week from every city and town in Scotland on the basis of religious bigotry.

Just you remember that when your club are stinking the place out in a certain competition next season and earning a mint from the income generated “by the top clubs”.

That’s one thing they are not short on. Fans and a half decent stadium perhaps, but money is not an issue.
