nate Posted June 1 Author Share Posted June 1 PREDICTION GAME UPDATE: 40ish entries in. Wide ranging stuff, from the optimistic (7pts) to the doomy (0pts, GD -8). Somewhere in the middle is a shout for 0-0/0-0/0-0. It might look dreary but in a 24-team Euros 3pts and a neutral GD always gets you through. Mind you, Group A finishing first…surely not a Group E or F carve up in store? Still, the consensus is encouraging- we lose to Germany (maybe heavily), narrowly beat Switzerland, nab a scoring draw v Hungary. 4 pts. Yes please. Tough game against a good tournament side. Ultimately outdone by a very good in-form nation. Hope I'm wrong, but I think Hungary are a very good side. Gaz Posted June 12 Share Posted June 12 I've been saying for a couple of weeks now that I think it'll be a carbon copy of France '98, unfortunately. I hope I'm wrong. We'll play well against Germany, but lose narrowly (like Brazil). We'll draw against Switzerland in an evenly matched but boring game (like Norway). We'll go into the Hungary game knowing a win will give us a massive chance of going through, and get humped (like Morocco).
