Petty Things That Get On Your Nerves...

This is a landmark ruling. Death is now to be treated reverentially on here or not discussed at all.

Agree. Suicide, particularly, is a subject that is such a taboo people are afraid to talk about it. Let's stop speaking about it in hushed tones, don't be afraid of the word and can we, for all that's good and holy, stop the comparison to cancer? It's nothing like the fucking same. Though, if it were, it's actually possible to laugh at that too - I read an absolutely hilarious blog just yesterday by a man who actually on Saturday from bowel cancer. Finding humour in anything removes some if the fear and encourages people to be more open about it. That can only be a good thing.

Can't believe that the suicide thread is closed when something like the dead pool where there are people posting about hoping for someone to actually die is left. Bizarre in the extreme.

ETA: Raidernation is also a massive hypocrite. Don't know if it was him reporting the thread to shut it down or not but he said it should be because it was such "poor taste". He's a consistent poster on the dead pool thread with puns about dead people.

The pathetic thing is that folk are getting faux offended by people posting about how they would kill themselves. How they would kill themselves. Themselves. It doesn't involve anyone else. It's folk suggestions on how they would kill themselves.

How is it possible to get offended by that?

An actual thing on the one o'clock news is of two Pakistani girls who were filmed singing a Justin Bieber song and went viral. A good three minutes of some bint talking about them and video of them singing various other Justin Bieber songs. Is the world that devoid of news on this day that the most interesting/relevant thing was deemed to be this shite?

Well, in fairness, some people do tend to get really upset when you kill yourself by bomb on the London Underground.

"Look at me" volunteer people (usually in Africa) getting pictures taken whilst holding toddlers who (by the look on the kid's face) have absolutely no idea what the f*** is going on. The person holding them always has a nice big smile as if the kid and the whole of the continent love them of course.

There's just something deeply unsettling about these pics which more often than not end up as Facebook profile photos.

Like this c**t.

As much as I like the loon, the way he pronounces the word 'project' as 'pro-ject' (as opposed to praw-ject) really gets on my nerves for whatever reason.
