I worked at a company where an alarming number of former employees received precisely hee-haw in the way of a collection after leaving, despite seeing money collected with my own eyes. This only seemed to happen with people who weren't liked by the head of HR, who co-incidentally handled the collections herself. Funny, that. I got begged to stay at my last job which I turned down on a constant basis until I walked out. My other job I was given my redundancy and walked out the job no issues.
