I haven't eaten since 11:30am on Thursday because I can't bite down on anything and I haven't been able to sleep all night. f**k knows when I'll be able to get an appointment with the dentist, so I'm waiting on the doctors opening, hoping he can give me some seriously strong painkillers. I'm also working at noon and going to a party straight after. If it's Vista, my Windows Update packed in within about 18 months. The solution I eventually opted for was just to upgrade to Windows 7 as it was a Dell Machine without an Operating System disk and I couldn't be fucked with the recovery partition. My recommendation is that, unless someone else can find a solution to your Windows Update problem, back up your essential data, find your Operating System disk, shut-down your PC, turn it on and go into the boot menu at the BIOS (usually one of the F(x) keys at the black screen lets you do this) run from the DVD drive and reinstall your operating system. Remember to look out any possibly relevant serial numbers as well. I think we've tried that before, or were planning on doing it, we just didn't have any pin numbers for our BT router thing so we wouldn't have been able to get internet access. We were told to give them a call and they should be able to give us what we need, but we've not got round to it yet. Petty Thing - Couldn't get to sleep until four last night, had to wake up at half nine, and I woke up on five different occasions last night. The fire brigade will be getting well and truly pissed off with us now. It reminds me of when I lived in student flats off the Cowgate in Edinburgh. I could kind of feel that it was there, but I couldn't move it at all - shat it is an understatement! Got up and it was fine within about 10 seconds however. I did sort of pass out about a minute later however - I just kind of dropped, but didn't black out or anything.
