The BBC red button text service, I've no idea what it's called, it's on the tele and it's text so that's Teletext. Is Ceefax still on the go then?

It's called the red button service.

A not so petty PTTGOYN for me are the football fixtures on this. You go into the 'fixtures' section, soon realising that the fixtures for that day have not been placed under fixtures but a completely separate 'today's matches' section. b*****ds.

Black and white too, f**k paying all that money for a colour licence to watch the shite they put on.

It's a b*****d watching snooker, unless Ted Lowe was commentating.

"Griffiths is snookered on the brown, which, for those of you watching in black and white, is the ball directly behind the pink."

Weather chat in general, but more specifically folk who lie about it. Just heard some folk at work say that summers in Scotland are 'never warm'.

Utter pish and the chat of a cretin.

Technically they are correct, if however they had said we never get hot days in Scotland, that would be bollocks.

I wouldn't call an average summer temperature of 15°C warm at all, it's 1°C less than the suggested minimum for working in an office.

Van/lorry drivers who drive down Buchanan Street during the morning rush hour after their deliveries, completely ignorant to the fact that they're driving down a pedestrianised street.

Had a passive aggressive exchange with one this morning who almost ran me over.

c***s.

Folk at my work who seem to be having some kind of competition to see who can make the most complimentary comments about each other.

Everyday is full of "I love your... hair/top/shoes/sunglasses/skirt". I get they are being nice but its the same conversation multiple times a day, every day.

I share an office with 5 others.

I have been disparaging, sarcastic and rude to three of them and haven't even been trying and am in generally a good mood.

One was missed as they didn't arrive till after one and has been off since Thursday, and one buggered off early to the doctors.

Is unnecessary politeness a thing these days?

I work in an office with 7 males and 1 female. I don't think I've ever heard a compliment being paid to anyone. Maybe we're just not that nice to each other.

Some **** of a BBC (UK wide) weatherman said "meanwhile up in Scotland temperatures will remain low at a miserable 11 degrees" a week or two ago. I was quite genuinely seething.

Forecasters that give opinions over weather facts grind my gears in general. For example, "lovely day" can mean 15 degrees with light cloud whereas clear sky suncream days at 30 degrees is far, far more miserable for weirdos like me.

The most awkward I've encountered at work was when a girl in the office said to me that I looked like I'd lost weight to which I just said thanks.

Then some other girl who'd overheard chipped in with 'aren't you going to return the compliment?'

To which I said that would come across insincere after you just said that wouldn't it. Cue horror from them that I'd apparently just called her fat.

f**k them. She is.

I was at a golf weekend on Arran at the weekend there.  One of the guys who I haven't seen since last years said i was "looking well".  I spent the rest of the weekend* wondering whether he meant I had lost weight or not, and by implication, that I was fat last year.

*A few minutes until we went to the boozer.

Should have originally said "cheers, you've lost a chin" to keep everyone happy.
