Strange game last night - Had almost a regular season feel to it.

Tampa got up early and seemed pretty content with that
Hawks while playing well enough never really forced the issue then suddenly 2 quick fire goals turn the thing around.
Expected an onslaught from the Bolts in the final 3 or so but it never really came

Delighted to get 1 on the board early - 3 more to go :)

Saturday's tilt felt more like a play-off match-up - bit of aggro etc

Disappointed to lose it with some sloppy goals but happy with a split from games 1&2

Not to sure how much home advantage applies given Tampa's record on the road though

It's going to happen! So confident when Tampa go one up in games, as you mentioned the road record is unbelievable. It was the same in the last 2 series, it's almost like they enjoy playing away from the Amalie Arena more.

Should be in Tampa in October for the first game of the season. Would be amazing if it was a Stanley Cup presentation as well.

Hawks were terrific in the 1st but had almost downed tools by the 3rd - very disappointing.

Kane and Toews have been kept well in check by Tampa but in previous years thats when the likes of Hossa, Sharp, Byfuglien and even Bickell have stepped up but its just not happening this year. (Sharp has had as poor a post season as i've seen from him)

After gm2 I was still confident the Hawks would come out on top but they need to change something up if thats going to happen

Hopefully Bishops injury isn't too bad. He was really sturggling to get to his feet last night after scrambling. Hopefully another couple of days rest and he'll be fine for game 4. Still regretting not backing the lightning at 25/1 back in October.

Jeez that was tight - Hawks looked out of gas last night but just about managed to the win

The loss of Bishop didn't seem to have much affect on the outcome - Certainly Vasilevskiy didn't let anyone down.
Crawford was solid (goal aside) and needed to be to keep the Hawks in it at some points

2 days rest before they go again Saturday

1 to go :) Chance to win it in red :)

Another tight one but Crawford got the job done
Bishop shit the bed for the 1st goal

Usually be confident going back to the UC but not so sure on gm6 - I think we may end up back in Tampa on Wed for winner takes all

Stanley Cup Champions 2015 !!!!!!!!!!!!

Delighted :)
Was hopeful of getting it done over the 2 games but not sure how last night would go

Another tight game - Tampa had their chances but couldn't take them and then Dunc steps ups

Crawford had another inspired night, everyone played their part

Strange series
Unlike recent cups runs and wins (Pronger in 2010 & Chara/Lucic in 2013) there didn't seem as intense a rivalry & animosity between the teams.
The big guns on both sides were well marshalled so left to the supporting cast to step up.
A fair few aches & pains of a long season really started to come out (Bishop tore his groin in gm2, Johnson playing with a broken wrist)

Hopefully get to see the cup for the 2nd time in 4yrs if Richards brings it to the island :)

Running on fumes this morning but hopefully some Chelsea Dagger will get me through :)

Raffi Torres gets a 41 (forty one) game suspension for a check to the head in his first game back after basically two years of injury. There are enforcers and there are thugs. And he's a thug. Even just looking at him, you can tell he's mental. The Sharks look like they'll be mediocre again this year. Joe Thornton's absolutely wasted on that roster.

Third highest suspension in NHL history, and he has been suspended for a total of around 75 games in his career.

Anyway, the NHL is back tomorrow! Toronto and Montreal open the season with Chicago and NY Rangers playing an hour after that.

Watched some of the Blackhawks-NY Rangers game. Did I hear right that OT will be 3 on 3 this season?

Yeah, 3 on 3, unless one team have incurred a penalty in which case the other side will have an extra skater.

All the away teams won last night, interesting.
