peasy23
First time ever that all 8 T20 blast matches have been rained off on the same day.

Fuctifano
In these sort of rain shortened games it's almost impossible for the team batting first to win unless they can enforce the follow on which won't happen. Australia have a better chance if they bat 4 sessions and get I lead of 150+ then another shot to skittle England. Presuming it stays dry for both full days that is.

Struggling to see it myself tbh, unless England manage to skittle the Aussies quickly this morning. Couldn't see England declaring without a lead of less than 300,and that would be tomorrow morning at the earliest. Doesn't look like the weather will help the bowlers today and tomorrow.
Aubrey Maturin
Smith is looking rather settled as is Wade, Archer is bowling just a little bit short. Meanwhile over in Sri Lanka the hosts are 77-0 as they chase 268 against the Kiwis, most noteworthy thing was a double failure for Kane Williamson
peasy23
Wade goes, edging Broad to slip. Broad doesn't bowl that length often enough.

Isn't that remarkable how many times over the years Broad has narrowly avoided being dropped to cement his place in the team, he just loves the Aussies.

That was a brilliant over from him, tempted Wade a couple of times before getting him to mistime the drive. England really putting the pressure on just now.

He might be dropped soon.
Lichtie78
He’s one of those guys that’s amazing at FC level but hasn’t found the consistency in Tests yet. He might be dropped soon.I agree. Although he does have the edge over Harris in that he’s a RHB. If Harris came in Aus top order be very LHB heavy
peasy23
England lead by 103 at lunch, they had a good spell of pressure but could only take 1 wicket, Aussies still have 5 in hand.
peasy23
Australia got within 8 of England, thanks to another stunning Smith innings. He retired hurt after first being struck in the arm, then was hit in the neck by a 92mph Archer bouncer. He came back out an hour later after going through and passing the concussion checks before finally getting out for 92. England currently 17-2, Roy and Root out with the skipper out for a first ball duck. Denly survived Cummins hat trick ball.
Sir Tarmo Kink
Root’s form is a real worry. At least Burns is starting to look like a reliable player who can stick through an innings quite well.

Sir Tarmo Kink
Burns gone obviously right after I praise him. Good spell for Siddle who took Denly as well not long before.Buttler and Stokes in now. England might actually manage to lose this test now unless those two or Bairstow and Woakes do anything.
peasy23
England lead by 104 with 4 down at the close, could have been worse if Warner could catch anything.
Sir Tarmo Kink
Looking like a draw now. Only way that doesn’t happen is if England have an early morning collapse and Australia don’t have much to chase to win. I wonder if England would risk declaring at a lead of around 200 and attempt to bowl the Aussies out?
DeeTillEhDeh
Roy is not a test match player - technique is just not suited to it - he should stick to the shorter game. Denly's dismissal was a bloody lazy shot - completely lost concentration for the c & b.Root's form is a real worry - in fact it's England's batting top order that's the worry - there's only so much that Stokes can do when you lose your first 4 wickets for 71.
