Awful score that will require excellent bowling to defend. Combination of poor shots and ill discipline against the spinners. Frustrating. Pitch looks perfectly okay, so this needs a demon bowling performance.
The Minertaur
138-6 for England. Terrible with the bat again although some excellent bowling it has to be said.

Scorge
Oman coast it with 8 wickets in hand, a gruesome slow death in all honesty. Bowling attack well organised, but never looked like getting through them. Probably not going to help ticket sales for Saturday, that....
peasy23
England all out for 258, Bairstow the last to fall trying to batter Lyon into the stands.
Sir Tarmo Kink
Warner gone...
peasy23
Australia will be quite happy to be 30-1 At the close. Decent first few overs from Archer, only criticism would be that too many balls were easy leaves. The second ball he bowled was an absolute rip snorter tbf.

die hard doonhamer
Broad seems to have Warner sussed out, which is nice. Batsmen have got to get back in again in the morning so hopefully some early wickets and Archer can give Smith a good going over.
Benjamin_Nevis
If England can Smith out early, I can see them knocking over the Aussies for about 140ish.

dorlomin
England's batting is shambolic. Rain after 2 today.
die hard doonhamer
Australia 80-4 as the rain starts, bringing an early lunch. Doesn't look like it'll be an on time restart though.
peasy23
The one plus from a long rain delay is when Sky rattle a masterclass together, this one at the moment on keeping wicket with Kumar Sangakkara is superb.
Salvo Montalbano
The one plus from a long rain delay is when Sky rattle a masterclass together, this one at the moment on keeping wicket with Kumar Sangakkara is superb.I was hoping to watch some of the West Indies v India ODI the other day which was delayed and they showed Naser Hussain's documentary about cricket in Mumbai instead. Fantastic stuff.
peasy23
Inspection at 5.20, might get a bit of play after all.
peasy23
And we don't, covers back on and that's it for the day.
dorlomin
Conditions wont be as helpful tomorrow but we will very likely get a full day and on Sunday. Top of the Australian batting order is back in the hutch and Woaks, Archer, Broad are looking the part. A real spear head attack.
Sir Tarmo Kink
Can’t see a result in this test to be honest.

Sky's coverage really is exceptional. Really enjoyed Naser's chat with Steve Smith over the lunch break as well. I get that the limited access to cricket by it being behind a pay wall hasn't helped the game grow, but for those of us who will watch regardless Sky are excellent.
