  1. Petrie said post-game yesterday he'd be resting a few for this, so decent chance of a very eccentric Mo line up (getting flashbacks of Rossco and Paul Watson at CB at Alloa in a similar situation). Nil-nil kickabout or narrow away win, probably.
  2. Boy Kills World - utterly nuts revenge 'em up a'la Monkey Man, but with a more video game styling about it. Great lead performance from the boy Skarsgard, who says so much without really saying anything. Enjoyable. Just settling in to watch ISS, edit to follow later. - [EDIT], meh, not bad. 20 minutes of characters bonding followed by an hour of paranoia about murdering each other and basically turns into a game of 'guess who gets merked'. Not great, but not toilet either.
  3. If you'd told me on seeing the teamsheet at 2.30 that next Saturday's game would be a glorified friendly, I'd have laughed. Our form has been really patchy of late but we always seem to dig in and find something when we need it and don't expect it. Lyons was excellent today and the wrong #11 got man of the match. Another batch of semi finals at least, then - well done to all involved, and if you are a fan of theoretical probability maths, we're currently the best team in Angus. Delicious.
  4. This is either epic trolling or incompetence from Buckie. I'd laugh if it wasn't for the fact that £ast Kilbride are the main beneficiaries...
  5. I'd settle for the Smokies simply matching it TBQHWY
  6. Best was probably the South Park Bigger Longer Uncut swear-along at the Prince Charles cinema a few years ago - being in a roomful of people singing along with the Uncle Fucker song was utterly purile yet joyful. Hard to pick a standout worst experience, but have had several films ruined by the usual excessive cuntery (mobile phones, ill disciplined kids, pissheads, back row bonking, etc)
  7. Last week or so, mixed bag: Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire - pfffffffrrrrrt. Almost passable and not as disengaging as I'd feared, but not much cop at all. Also just seems to feature Bill Murray popping his head in at random intervals to pick up the appearance money before fecking off again like a disinterested junior footballer at Blantyre Vics or somesuch. Civil War - really, really bought into this until the last 5 minutes, when . That aside, the film builds really nicely and gets the tension spot on for most of it, that Jessie Plemons cameo is a brilliant set piece. The Rock - part of the Cineworld action fest, hadn't seen it for a long time. Michael Bay films tend to be a bit too coked-up for my liking, but this one is a bit more restrained, and has one of the best villians-who-isn't-a-villian in a film played to a tee by Ed Harris, so it's absolutely fine. Sometimes I Think About Dying - Daisy Ridley as a very closed-book introvert type, adapted from a stage play IIRC. Wanted to like this more than I did because she plays her part as well as can be expected, but the film is unbelieveably sloooooooooow and pretentious and you'll likely dial out of it even though it barely touches an hour and a half.
  8. Fair play to Edinburgh - the league table doesn't lie, but I don't think they've been as bad as their points tally suggests and a tough season giving the kids experience might set them up okay for L2 if they stay afloat. Poor result for us, and makes the path to 4th place a lot more awkward. We badly need Alloa to win the Saturday Telefios game IMO regardless of what happens to us at LP.
  9. 6-1, and only a few good saves from the keeper and some wasteful finishing stopped that being double figures. Hard to judge against a poor team, but Buckie ping the ball about nicely and wouldn't be a mismatch against the chickenf***er and his band of mercenaries. I'd make Buckie slight favourites now unless Brechin go utterly berserk tomorrow night.
  10. Nipped up to this - only 3-1 Buckie HT, not sure how as they are the better side by a mile. Could be ugly second half if Strathspey tire out.
  11. Absolute belter of a gig this evening - was a bit apprehensive about being in the upper seats but if anything the acoustics up there are better, and not many of us were sitting down. Two great set lists and a rave on the balcony, perfect Thursday night oot.
  12. Went along to this and Dumb and Dumber for the world of Cine double feature. Hadn't seen either for quite a few years - both are still quite funny and hold up okay. That said, Naked Gun does show its age more of the two, and D&D probably had the more gutteral audience laughter at that screening. Noticed they are doing an action season for the rest of the month, too. Commando already booked!
  13. This is largely why predicting what will happen in the next five games is a bit futile. But given the fixtures, I'd take a final day win-or-bust for 4th right now.
