  1. Well you are a skinny ginge and probably do resemble xbl's favoured prey, the cheesy wotsit
  2. Any tips for dealing with a biting toddler? Our daughter (about 20 months) seems to be in a habit of biting other children in nursery, mostly due to disputes over toys etc, but this has been going on for a while now. Yesterday we had to sign an incident report form because she had bitten another child and left a mark on her/him. Anyone else experienced this?
  3. Finally HR have processed my application for the Cycle2Work schemeand I can go and pick up my bike later this week. Can't wait to get out on it and see what it's like and more importantly get rid of some of the cobwebs from my legs
  4. It still switches on but doesn't do anything when I try to run it
  5. Are there any dishwasher/plumbing experts on p&b? The dishwasher stopped not long ago just after I had put it on. There is water in the base of it which won't drain away. I lifted out the filter thingmy and tried plunging it to see if there was a blockage but that didn't work. Any advice gratefully received
  6. That is fucking tragic, never mind deleting her she needs a good kicking.
  7. The wife just got one of these bad boys a few days ago. I must say it is superb. Last night had some pork and apple, topped with dumplings. was fantastic. I quite fancy doing a curry in it soon.
  8. At last, I have missed the King of Scottish History's image
  9. I think you can request bikes from independent retailers if you are looking for something specific and Halfords will deal with obtaining it from them. I just thought that the Boardman Hybrid looked like a good bike for what I am looking for, I shall keep investigating to make sure I get the right one for my needs. Cheers Mr Blair.
  10. I will do. My long term goal is next years Pedal For Scotland, but in the meantime I just want to get out and about and lose some of this gut!!!
  11. Top notch, thanks for the advice Drooper, much appreciated.
  12. Thanks for the reply Drooper, much appreciated. I can't ever see myself requiring a road bike as I intend to only remain a casual user. I forgot to mention too that I would like to possibly fit a child seat to the back of it to take the daughter out at weekends on occasion. I take your point about Halfords, I have also heard occasional tales about them and have my own issues with them. I once got a PC through a similar scheme at work so I roughly know how they work. I want to spend a decent amount on a decent bike which I want to hold onto for a long time.
  13. Looking for advice from expert cyclists here. Looking to get a new bike on the Cycle2Work scheme which is being offered through work. Am not a 'hardcore' cyclist but looking to get out a bit more and start cycling to work a couple of days a week and doing some at weekends too. A hybrid seems to be the best option and cost isn't too much of an issue as I will be paying monthly installments. I do want a decent bike that will last a long time. I was thinking about this one: http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_777843_langId_-1_categoryId_165534#dtab Any thoughts?
  14. Sadly he perished during a holiday to brazil
  15. I'll see your Lou Carpenter, Paul Robinson and Ian Beale and raise you Karl Kennedy.
  16. Some burd on mine has posted something along the lines of "Happy xth anniversary me and hubby". Cue loads of other burds commenting "Happy anniversary xx". Attention seeking hoor, any decent friend would know your anniversary anyway.
  17. That is a level that most people can only aspire to.
