I think this weekend I will try and get some golf in. I have a golf day at Bathgate next week and haven't played an 18 hole course since last year. Managed a couple of rounds on the par 3 course a couple of weeks ago which wasn't too bad (I am pretty rubbish though), so am dreading next week. Anyone played Bathgate? What can I expect? I wish this bloody wind would go away as well.

Tranent is a fair distance from Edinburgh so a taxi would cost a bomb. Best bet would either be the two train option to wallyford and then the bus, or train to Waverley then the 44 to tranent (obviously longer than 2 train option but cheaper)

In answer to No.2, I got quite a few decent-ish clubs from Sports Direct at Fort Kinnaird. I think they were mostly Slazenger, so not top of the range stuff but good enough for a beginner like me. JJB Sports are okay as well. They've both got shoes, balls and other accessories too. I presume you'd be able to get these off either of the websites too.

And I bet they all ran on time too.

Not on this occasion. I have learned my lesson from previous outdoor drunken wind-affected urinating incidents. And I certainly wouldn't be as vulgar as to spit in public.

This morning whilst grabbing a pre-work coffee I witnessed this fellow clear his throat and eject the product from his mouth. Sadly (for him) he hadn't put enough force into it and as it was quite windy it blew back onto the bottom of his trousers. It was quite amusing.

Cheers guys, we've already got her bed propped up due to the fact she seems to have a constant cold at the moment. We did take her to the doctor a couple of weeks ago when the cough wasn't as bad but they said there was nothing to worry about and she did improve for a wee while after that. I think I will make an another appointment as it does seem to have gone on for a long time and it is a lot worse now.
