As poor as we played yesterday I thought McGlynn was completely out thought by Campbell. First half Campbell had Arbroath sitting off us and looking to counter. Bar our only chance which resulted in a goal then it worked. Clearly went in at half time and told his players to up the tempo and pressure us and it worked a treat. It was clear that 5-3-2 wasn't working and I have no idea why we kept going with it when Arbroath only had Hamilton up top really. Dick and Tumilty are not wing backs or wingers and offer nothing in that system. Ok Tumilty was up there for the goal but what else did he or Dick do the whole game? Arbroath completely had us in midfield in the 2nd half and you have to think I don't believe McGlynn would have changed system but for Berra going off. Gullan looked incredibly frustrated today and no wonder having to watch our defence do 59 passes across the pitch before launching it up to him. So easy to defend against and Gaston won't have had an easier match as had nothing to do except catch a few pathetic crosses.

Not read the rest of the posts on here. Arbroath fully deserved the win today. Hungrier, fitter, stronger, and just better than us. I'll say it now that is they don't win the league it'll be travesty. The best the team by a mile. As for us some of these players need to take a big look at themselves. Who the hell do they think they are?!? The attitude, especially 2nd half, was pathetic. All this chat about it being a great dressing room etc is just a load of shite. They think that they are world beaters and they are not. Not sure what McGlynn has or will say but there is no excuse today. Man up or else we are going to finish 5th or 6th this season.

Exactly what I was meaning earlier regarding our strikers not really carrying any threat. They are not making the runs and getting into the positions that cause defences problems and therefore our creative players can't really assist. A good striker who occupies a defender or two and makes them think will allow space for others to do their bit and ultimately you'll get the regards for it. Varian isn't any threat winning flick-ons at the half way line. Nouble a few weeks ago caused Berra all sorts of problems that day and that created huge amounts of space for others in the Arbroath side to exploit. It's night and day compared to what we have up top.

Tries hard but we need more from a striker. 1 league goal isn't good enough. He's never in the right position and when we have the ball and looking to create something he's extremely easy to defend against. Happy for him to come off the bench but we desperately need something else up top.

I would say that's an issue with not having any threat though. Teams know we don't have a finisher so can look to close our better midfielders down such as Ross. When Poplatnik had that chance in first half I don't even think Rovers fans thought he'd score. If we have an actual threat then chances will come by defenders having to be occupied by him more.

We drastically need someone up top to offer something else. We have zero threat so defenders don't have to worry about Varian or Poplatnik as they know that won't really trouble them. Stanton and Williamson will both improve us but it's almost pointless if we don't have a striker who can actually score. Teams know that now.

It's just absolutely gutting this. Complete nonsense especially when watching full stadiums down south. As others have said I might just jump on the train and head to the Edinburgh Market via the Gyle, Livingston Centre and St James Centre [emoji849] I do think that clubs here should have come together and challenged the restriction in Court as I can't see how they can prove it to be justified and therefore legal. Exactly the same way the Belgian theatres did it against their government and won.

Can we please all get over the Goodwillie nonsense now (which was never real in the first place) and get back to moaning to f**k about Sturgeon and Leitch. Absolutely ridiculous and the staggering of entry times is absurd.

Not going to brother reading what's been said before. I thought 1st half we were poor but 2nd half we were fantastic. Ok we lost but the players put in some shift today and put it all on the line From what I could "see" that was never a red but if the replay proves me wrong so be it. Before it I thought we were coming into the game but after it we were only going to get a draw at best No matter what happener today I thought every single player deserved a huge applause and the crowd reaction midway through the match was superb.

Huge praise today for Arnott when he came on. He put himself about and must have broke up play 4 or 5 times to allow us to get the ball back and break. Can see him getting more and more game time over the next few months. For 17 years old he looks superb.

The boy on Falkirk TV went on about it during the match and again during his interview with Sheerin about how we'd only had 3 chances all match and were clinical. Someone needs to show him the stats of us still having more chances than they did [emoji1787] I'd be extremely worried by that interview with Sheerin. He sounds clueless. Can't believe he said maybe you can't get any better.

One thing I'd say for us today is that as poor as Falkirk were, in years gone by we'd still have lost that. It's another sign at the step forward we've taken this season. Nice victory to celebrate the anniversary today!

Falkirk really are absolutely shite

That's the most comfortable victory we'll probably have all season. Excellent stuff from the team. Some really lovely stuff and again solid at the back. Musonda looked far better this week and Ross stepped it up. We're now becoming a tough team to beat and going 10 matches undefeated is some going in this league.

Absolutely spot on. Thought he was motm today. Made some absolutely superb blocks and looked like he was telling McGlynn we needed another midfielder on at one point. For me he, MacDonald and Laing were the only players who had a bit of composure in the 2nd half. The way he leads the team, whether Bene is captain or not, is superb. He's always talking to those around him. We should have been more up at half time but as others have said Spencer going off kills us. Without him or Matthews we don't have a midfield so with that, plus having had a match with 10 men last weekend and an away derby midweek I'll take the 3 points today and move on.

Those are the types of games that really aren't great to watch and you won't remember but might have a big bearing come the end of the season. Big game next week now.

Not to mention commentary that rivals Falkirk in terms of bias. McGowne really wasn't happy at full time [emoji23]

Apparently superb performance today. Thought we perhaps sat too deep in the 2nd half and when the goal arrived it wasn't really a shock but the reaction to it you have to give the players immense credit. Tumilty was a different machine today playing in that role. Freed him up from not having the full defensive responsibilities. We also looked better in the middle with the trio having their best of the season so far.

Thought that game was there for the taking tonight and we really should have made the advantage count on the first half. Fair play to Dunfermline who thoroughly deserved the draw. They made the changes at half time and we didn't react. McGlynn has to shoulder the blame for that and thinking we could ride it out. Feel the criticism of Varien is a bit unfair. He was up front on his own and getting chucked balls at him to deal with against 2 big defenders. So many times the balls were fired at him at chest height. He won plenty of flick ons with the head but we have zero threat and support coming from centre midfield just now so he just looked very isolated. We really looked like a mid table team and need to hope we can struggle our way through to January whilst still around 4th or 5th. We are woefully short of options and I honestly can't believe we've let ourselves get into this position. Varien or Poplatnik get injured and we're left with a young kid who's never played professional football before this season and another one who can't get a match for Cowden. Big few weeks ahead now as we play the top 3 before another derby march. We could be looking at a very different picture come the end of October.

3 points when you don't play well is always good. Take that today and move onto 3 huge games coming up now. I really didn't like signing of Zanatta when it was announced but have to say he's really stepping up. He's our go to player now and happy to admit I was wrong. Think Ugwu would've made a difference today had he been fit.

If McGlynn isn't able to use the money to reinvest in the team in January then the question has to be asked to the board as to where it is going. If it needs to go elsewhere then most fans would accept it probably if the board were open and honest with the fan base. What I think is getting more fans annoyed here is the complete contraction between the clubs words and actions.

Compare what we did with Tait to what St Mirren did with Jamie McGrath. Hibs apparently offered them money plus 2 players and they told them to bolt. No need to rush into selling a player at this stage of the window especially if we're going to get him back on loan. Given we're not going to get anyone else in then what the hell is the money going towards? If the club dispute the £100k figure and it's more yet still no investment then what the hell is happening at the club! If it's that or less then we've given him away.

I'm going to guess the player development fund is redundant now?
