Just looking at our depth and with those two signings looking possible it would leave us with,

    Goalkeeper

    Harry Stone

    Robbie Mutch

    Right Back

    Dylan Watret

    Nick McAllister

    Right Centre Back

    George Stanger

    Jamie Hamilton

    Left Centre Back

    Frankie Musonda

    Left Back

    Scott McMann

    Paddy Reading

    Right Wing

    Jay Henderson

    Ethan Walker

    Centre Midfielder

    Marco Rus

    Roy Syla

    Centre Midfielder

    Ben Dempsey

    Andy Murdoch

    Left Wing

    Jamie Murphy

    Jake Hastie

    Striker

    Anton Dowds

    Mark McKenzie

    Striker

    George Oakley

    Fraser Bryden

Defence maybe looks light on bodies but with the exception of Reading and Watret, everyone else there can technically play in two defensive positions so it’s not too much of a worry. We could go and sign a right back after the league cup games and then loan Watret out but I wouldn’t be shocked now if Brown ended up using him a fair bit this season.

Similarly up front there’s always the chance we loan out Guthrie and McRoberts and bring in an extra body before the league starts. Apart from that, Brown has done what he said he would and has two players for every position. Whilst there’s a few players in there that aren’t tested at this level, I think we should be fairly confident of pushing for the playoffs.

    GK- Stone

    RB- Hamilton

    CB- Stanger

    CB- Musonda

    LB- McMann

    RW- Henderson

    CM- Dempsey

    CM- Rus

    LW- Murphy

    ST- Oakley

    ST- Dowds

Subs- Mutch, Reading, McAllister, Syla, Murdoch, Walker, Hastie, Bryden, McKenzie

This on paper looks like a decent team. You’d imagine Raith and Thistle will start off as favourites but no reason why we can’t challenge.

I’m 99% certain that McMann has been signed as McGintys replacement and will play at left back when needed.

We still need another body in there regardless as we haven’t replaced Sanders. Dylan Corr a possibility? Not exactly proven at this level as he was a bit part player with Raith but seems to have been described as a ball playing defender.

I think at the minute our first choice partnership is Musonda and McMann. Musonda is likely to be named captain so will play every game he’s fit and McMann hasn’t been signed to sit on the bench. Therefore any centre half we sign is likely to be a back up which makes it harder to convince a player to sign.

I know he can play centre half but given he got in TOTS last year playing left back I’d much rather have him there with Stanger and Musonda at centre half. If/when we sign another centre back Stanger moves to right back until we sign a right back then take a look at situation.

Yeah, I don't think we were ever all that interested in him, no tangible rumours.

Were mentioned in the Scott Burns article alongside Raith Rovers and Livingston as having made him an offer and he’s normally spot on. Just need to hope there has been another centre back target identified.

  4. Think my question is down similar lines to @Dunning1874 however me and two friends were booked on a train from Frankfurt to Munich tomorrow morning (with reserved seats) however this train has now been cancelled. It says due to this I can get on any train as long as we show our original tickets however my fear is due to amount of people travelling all the trains will be full. Take it this will not be the case? And are we likely to get seats on the train?

  5. Heading out on Thursday. Plane from Edinburgh down to Frankfurt. Then getting train to Munich on Friday arriving about lunchtime. Didn’t manage to get tickets for game so will be watching in Fanzone, for those doing similar what sort of time will they be heading to it? I see it opens at 1pm and holds 25,000.

See Steven Bradley has left Livingston.....would definitely take him back was decent ....

    Thoughts?

We’re pretty well stocked in the winger position with Murphy, Henderson and the imminent arrival of Rus.

Think Scott Burns or some other journalist suggested he was off to Hamilton.
