  1. Does anyone know how many tickets were sold via the ballot? I know it’ll be more than 10-15,000 but just wondering how many more.
  2. Yesterday I ran 5km under 30 minutes (29:46). Never really been into running except for a brief spell in 2013/14, so that's the first time I've ever done that. Very happy with that time.
  3. I think the squad almost picks itself at this point - main winners from this camp being Hanley and Adams. Gordon, Marshall, McLaughlin. Cooper, Gallagher, Hanley, McKenna, O'Donnell, Palmer, Robertson, Tierney. Armstrong, Christie, Forrest, Fraser, Jack, McGinn, McGregor, McLean, McTominay. Adams, Dykes, McBurnie. I think everyone there is assured of a place apart from possibly Cooper, Palmer, Forrest, for different reasons. The big decisions come if it gets expanded to 25/26. You'd then be looking to add (bold is what I think Clarke would do): 1 of Considine/Hendry/Taylor 1 of Fleck/Gilmour (if he gets more game time)/Paterson/Turnbull 1 of Griffiths/Nisbet/Shankland
  4. McGregor is currently the best Scottish goalkeeper and must be regretting his retirement. I don't watch any Championship football so wasn't aware Marshall has been dropped by Derby. I still think Clarke will go with him regardless. Hopefully McLaughlin can get a full season under his belt next season somewhere, I've always thought he's a decent keeper but you can't really expect him to be the future number one if he's not playing.
  5. Getting confused between Bell and Sena being the highlight. Apart from a 5-10 minute spell in the first half, we've been so disjointed.
  6. My weight has ballooned up again. I went from 17st 2lbs in August 2018 to 13st 13lbs in January 2019 - my daughter was born in February 2019 and I didn't want to be an obese Dad. It felt like 'mission accomplished' and I took my eye off the ball. In the two years since then, my weight slowly but surely gone back up to 17st 2lbs (on 19 February 2021). I didn't weigh myself too often in those two years, but whenever I did and let's say I was 15st 5lbs, I'd just think to myself 'that's not too bad, remember you were 17st 2lbs at one point'. So when I hit that weight again I just thought 'you fucking idiot'. I've managed to get down to 16st 1lbs after five and a half weeks of: calorie counting (giving myself a range of anywhere from 1900-2100), making sure I walk 10,000+ steps every day, and running. I've ran 5km three times since last Monday, so going to try keep that up. I've also cut back on booze a lot - I think since I started trying to lose weight again I've had about 3 pints, 2 glasses of wine, and 2 glasses of Prosecco. I hope to be back under 14st again in the summer.
  7. Wrong again. 1. Halo 2 2. Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back 4. Donkey Kong Country 5. Worms Armageddon 6. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 7. Mario Kart: Double Dash!! 8. Call of Duty: Warzone 9. Burnout 3: Takedown 10. NBA Jam Halo 2 is the closest I've ever been to video game addiction. It had a tremendous online multiplayer with everyone using their mics (pros and cons to that), and a clan match playlist that has never been improved upon. The gameplay was great; the maps and the guns were excellent. I downloaded it for the PC at the start of lockdown last year after finding out you could play it online again, and I was horseshit. Didn't spoil the memories of those glorious Xbox days though, it's still far and away my favourite game of all time.
  8. Definitely find this to be the case with the mobile version. Although I got Scotland to the semis of the Euros, knocking England out along the way, losing 1-0 in extra time to Germany. And got sacked! That was two years ago now and I’m still annoyed about it, and think about what I could’ve done differently (not sub Stevie Mallan on for his international debut being the main thing).
  9. I was wrong. 2. Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back
  10. My top three will all have multiple votes but these were all me only (I regret nothing): 4. Donkey Kong Country 5. Worms Armageddon 6. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 7. Mario Kart: Double Dash!! 8. Call of Duty: Warzone 9. Burnout 3: Takedown 10. NBA Jam
  11. Never actually owned Destruction Derby, but rented it from Global Video about 8 times. Did own Destruction Derby Arenas on the PS2 but it wasn't nearly as good. These are mine so far: 7. Mario Kart: Double Dash!! 8. Call of Duty: Warzone 9. Burnout 3: Takedown 10. NBA Jam
  12. Speaking of cookbooks, I bought the orange Pinch of Nom book after reading the hype on here and I'm a little disappointed. I've made the Lemon and Pepper Chicken Tagliatelle, Orange Chicken, Crispy Turkey Chinese Wraps and Jambalaya so far, and I wouldn't give any of them more than 6/10. Quite dry and bland. Are there any other recipes in the orange one that are a must try?
  13. Hampden Park should be full, the risk is surely so minimal that we can go ahead with it. Fucking first time at a tournament since 1998 and we're going to give up a chance to have games on our doorstep. Why?!
  14. List submitted. Had about 30 games that could've featured, but on the most basic level I think these are the 10 that have given me the most enjoyment over the years. 4 single players, 6 multiplayers. Didn't include any FIFA, Football Manager, Grand Theft Auto or WWE games this time. Honourable mentions to SOCOM II U.S. Navy SEALs, Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings, and Conker's Bad Fur Day which just missed the cut. 1. 2004 2. 1997 3. 2013 4. 1994 5. 1999 6. 1992 7. 2003 8. 2020 9. 2004 10. 1993
  15. I'd been watching the NFL casually for about a decade without supporting a team, but I found myself getting more and more interested leading up to the 2016 draft - something I'd never taken an interest in as I don't watch college football. At this time I thought I'm liking this to a point where I should probably pick a team. I have no family connections to USA, and although I've been to a few places (Florida, New York, California), I had an open mind. Then watching the draft, and what was happening with Laremy Tunsil, I decided I'd back the team that drafted him. #FinsUp
  16. The guy posted a big Facebook status and video about how his ex has turned the kids against him, cheated on him etc. so unfortunately sounds like the rumours are true.
  17. I’ve got tickets to one Scotland game so I’ll be devastated if I can’t go. If I had to guess, I reckon they’ll have some games with reduced capacity, some with no crowd, but all played in the stadiums they’re slated to be played in.
  18. Largely because during that initial lockdown we were told the way out of this was an effective vaccine. Now that it seems like we've got this, there's a concern that they're shifting the goalposts. Let's hope not. Obviously it takes time to roll out and they'll need to analyse their data, so maybe I'm panicking too early, but hints of major restrictions being in place this summer/autumn is giving me the fear.
  19. From the BBC: We aim to complete first doses for everyone over 65 years old by the beginning of March, says Ms Sturgeon. She adds: "We aim to reach the whole of the JCVI priority list by early May." Then the rest of the adult population will follow thereafter. Does anyone know if they'll just open a booking system up to everyone else in May and it's a case of first come, first serve? So a healthy 18 year old could get theirs before a healthy 49 year old, for example? Or is it still to be rolled out by age once the priority list is complete?
  20. There really should be a clearer roadmap out of this in terms of what restrictions could/will be lifted once we hit x% of vaccinations. Still feels like we're completely in the dark about the end goal. I don't know if it's a case of politicians being too scared to miss targets/deadlines or more about being unsure about the effectiveness of the vaccine. But with the message last year being all about how we need a vaccine to get out of this mess, I thought now that we have one - more than one - that's now rolling out, that we would have a better understanding of timeframes.
  21. Should I be worried about the three fairly loud bangs/pops I've heard from my kitchen within the last hour? Do you know what could be causing this? I've had a look around and there's nothing obvious. Did a quick Google search and it seems to suggest it's either to do with the water pipes or the fridge freezer. Everything appears to be working fine though...
  22. Going to purchase a pair of running shoes tonight. Where should I be buying? Who are the brands to avoid? etc. Would appreciate any recommendations.
