  1. The latest statement from the SFA saying that all football is now suspended until at least June 10th effectively ends the junior season IMO.
  2. I would say the Pollok v Arthurlie rivalry only really got going seriously in the mid to late 1980s when Arthurlie started to regularly challenge for trophies. For example, nobody was billing the 81 Junior Cup final as a derby match.
  3. I didn't think he was that bad either tbh, it was just the endless sound bites and textbook management speak that annoyed me. To break even from the starting point they had was remarkable tbh. It was obvious they were starting to lose faith in Jack Ross towards the end of the season as they kept losing points the same way too often. And you are spot on about a lot of Londoners, that's certainly the view of the ones I know.
  4. I had sort of forgotten how much of a bedshitting Sunderland had put on in the Trophy final, I didn't watch a lot of St. Mirren when Ross was there, but was snatching a lead and trying to hang on for grim death his normal MO?
  5. Rennie might not be Australia bound after all.
  6. They would have to reduce the field by quite a margin. Field of 156 usually starting at 6.30ish in the morning on the first two days are still playing until about 9pm. Lot less daylight later in the year. Royal St. George's will now host next year, with St. Andrew's then hosting the 150th open in 2022. Hoylake was set for 2022, with Troon hosting in 2023 to mark the centenary of the first Open held there, be interesting to see what the R&A do with those 2.
  7. Don't know about anybody else, but they have perked me right up.
  8. Yeah, people will have strong opinions on him & his party but I wouldn't wish it ony anyone & remember he has an unborn kid on the way, shit for anyone to be born never knowing their father. Yep, he's done such a sterling job with the 5 kids he alllegedly already has.
  9. Rate of posting might slow a bit now that Jeremiah Cole has been permanently self isolated.
  10. Fwiw, I can fully understand Calderwood wanting to check her house for security reasons, but that didn't need the whole family to go or an overnight stay.
  11. She visited her second home in Fife for an overnight stay with her family, after urging everyone not to visit holiday homes. A massive howler, for which she has unreservedly apologised.
  12. Still going ahead as scheduled. But look at this shit...
  13. I've got no idea where this regionalisation talk is coming from, afaik it was never mentioned at any meeting. I would expect conferences to be based on what division the junior teams were in this year.
  14. Most of the clubs who haven't officially declared one way or other are always very quiet on social media, so no real surprise that there have been no announcements from them.
  15. Last weekend Saturday: Cut the front grass, did a general tidy up cleaning up dead leaves etc, dead headed the flowering bush. Sunday: Painted the back fence. Today: set up the practice net and mat that I ordered months ago. I hope Pozbaird doesn't know where I live. Could put up an honesty box though. Tomorrow: paint the gates, railings and clothes poles.
  16. He must have read the entire business/corporate speak nonsense thread on here, then tried to fit every single phrase into the programme. I do have a bit of sympathy for the new board, they have inherited an absolute financial and management shambles. It seems that nobody had to answer to anybody under the previous regime and a lot of the staff seem to just be going through the motions. Given that Maja is reported to be on 50k per week plus in France, I don't think there was ever any chance he was signing a new deal with Sunderland, think his agent made sure of that.
