  1. My first car was a Vauxhall Cavalier 1.6 GLS Saloon, reg no B971 WYV. It was a strange mix of old and new technology. On the one hand it had alloy wheels, central locking and electric windows (only in the front though), on the other hand it had a manual choke and a manual slide and tilt sunroof, which took ages to open and close.
  2. Gallagher Premiership suspended for at least 5 weeks, and all European ties postponed.
  3. Biggest problem with Augusta is that the course turns brown in the summer, and there is no way that AGNC will allow that to be shown on TV. Because of that and the heat it usually closes from May to October anyway. That would mean they would have to wait until October/November for it to regain it's colour. That's it then holding the Masters twice in 5 or 6 months, and it's hard to see the members accepting that too.
  4. Aye, it's a sore one, but there was no way they could keep everybody. They also have the likes of Kittle going into his final year who needs a hefty wedge too. Two first round picks now, and would expect some more trading to fill in some blanks in the rounds below.
  5. Some cracking tries in there.
  6. 49ers sign Arik Armstead to a new 5 year deal worth up to €85m. They also trade DeForest Buckner to the Colts in exchange for their first round pick (13th overall) this year. His deal at the Colts is €21m per year. 49ers simply have too many DL guys needing paid.
  7. Most obvious problem is how do you get someone to undergo a physical if they can't travel to you and your medical staff can't travel to them.
  8. It didn't pass by much, not really that keen on an extra game even though it will mean one less waste of time pre season match. 14 teams into the playoffs starting next season.
  9. They are new, not replacing anything. It's all part of this scheme... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-49475108
  10. One of my workmates is getting married at the end of May, and his stag do was supposed to be in Benidorm this weekend. He couldn't go though as he had to have a tumour on his kidney removed, but a couple of guys found out that they were going to lose most of their money if they cancelled, so they flew out yesterday. Ouch.
  11. That was the thing, the ref agreed that the 7 was never in any position to challenge for the ball, but the fact that the 9 landed on his back was enough mitigation in his view to make it only a yellow. Commentators thought he was very lucky to get a yellow.
  12. Here is the yellow card challenge for anybody that missed it earlier, I don't see anything except a red for that tbh. He might land back first, but his head whacks off the ground too.
  13. My daughter's school yesterday were making sure every pupil had everything they needed to access online resources like GLOW and Show My Homework, while my niece in 5th year at another school said all the 4th-6th year pupils were issued with their new iPads. I'd be surprised if the schools are still open by Monday week. I would guess they will try and hold on until they stop for Easter on 3rd April, but doubt they can wait that long.
  14. Don't tell anyone, but the Co-op in Wallacewell Road had Andrex earlier.
  15. Definite red for me, I know he landed on his back and that was what the ref cited as mitigation for giving a yellow, but that was purely down to luck, it was a very dangerous tackle as the TMO was trying to persuade him.
  16. Sharks v Stormers on Sky just now, Stormers should have had a red card straight from the kick off for taking out a man in the air, but even with the TMO pretty much imploring him to give a red, the ref settled for yellow.
  17. It's still there, you can't get it in the app though. I can heartily recommend the Strumpets of Yore thread.
  18. Just tell all the c***s you don't like that they are no longer invited.
  19. Everything cancelled up to the Masters
  20. Looks like the tourney might have been abandoned.
  21. If the 500 limit sticks then most Junior football will be fine. I can see me doing a lot of self isolating on the golf course.
