You'd be really upset" assuming that I would be shocked and outraged that she was cheating on me. I replied that, in fact, I wouldn't and she couldn't understand why.

Here's the think that the government and media do not get. Barristers and many other professions have had their wages frozen/cut since 2010. When professionals look at what their pay should be had it kept up with inflation, versus what they actually get, they are naturally pissed off. So the starting point if a feeling of grievance. Now with inflation expected to hit 11%, and pay rises being offered in the 3% range, the issue is exacerbated. Do the government care? No. Just keep telling folk that barristers, doctors, head teachers, train drivers etc. are "well paid", as code for they should shut up and go back to work.

In a series of hearings today for plagiarism cases. Most of these cases were people copying websites for their exam answers. The difference here is that these are final year students. There are no resits so any student found guilty will just leave with an Ordinary degree (no Honours). This was a pretty tough day - 5 students all ended up in this situation. All will leave with no Honours degree. One seemed to grasp the enormity of it and was in tears in the hearing. The rest didn't seem to grasp this and thought they would somehow still get through. In fact, some parents of students in this situation have apparently been contacting the Uni senior management asking to hurry up the disciplinary process so that they can book flights and hotels etc. for the graduation ceremony. They're in for a shock. Roll on next year when we go back to normal, in-person invigilated exams.

I don't think I'll bother with season 4 to be honest. Found season 3 to be a bit of a slog.

My school library was the very first time I used the internet. This must have been 1992 or 1993. We were taken down to the library by our computing studies teacher who had spoken for a little but about the "information superhighway". It took ages but what he booted up was a live feed from a traffic cam in San Francisco. It refreshed every few seconds and the image was grainy as hell. But the fact that this was live, was somehow very exciting.

I have had paprika on boiled eggs with egg mayo before (from the Morrisons salad bar). Tremendous.

Watched a bit of McCartney last night. It was poor stuff, loads of songs I had never heard before. Just switched off.

Watched Amok Time last night. Spock's fiancee was indeed T'Pring. For some reason I thought the woman from SNW was different to the one from TOS. Very different. In SNW she is quite a positive character. In Amok Time she was just heartless towards him.

Ah sorry. Ebay are selling these. Cannot figure out what fruit goes on these.
