    Last night we sat outside with a cold drink and played board games with the kids. We were playing a new Logo game, based on TV and movies. My 12 year old daughter was to ask my wife a question. Reading the card she asked: "What was Meg Ryan faking in When Harry Met Sally that led to another diner saying "I'll have what she's having"?" Seeing my wife trying to answer but not answer was hilarious.

    Caught a bit more last night. It is all gravy for Labour, the Lib Dems and the SNP. Whoever wins, the lines of attack are already being drawn by the Tory rivals. Accusing each other of breaking promises, being inexperienced, lying and so on. Come the next election expect to see clips of these debates resurfacing. Tugenhadt - said "served" more times than a tennis commentator. Truss - Theresa May reborn. As wooden as my decking. Mordaunt - incoherent in all her answers. Badenoch - jeezo. The right wing nutter's nutter. Sunak - his record as chancellor will kill him and his chances.

    Watched a wee bit of it last night. Managed 5 minutes then changed the channel. All I can say is, the tories are fucked. The Mail is backing Liz Truss. Here's hoping she wins, best chance we have to be rid of this shower.

    She woke up before me today. Went downstairs, got her phone, came back and started watching this pish. Even with the volume down, it woke me up. Apparently I am grumpy today.

    In the last 15 years, Scotland has had 2 First Ministers. The SNP has had 2 party leaders. Since 2007, in a few weeks time we will have had 5 UK Prime Ministers, 4 Tory leaders, 4 Labour leaders (excluding Blair). Politically Scotland is far more stable than the UK.

    Some of these folk have joined the race simply to raise their profile. They know they have no chance but here is a chance to get in the papers, get a bit of name recognition and hopefully get a cabinet post when the next nutjob takes over.
