  1. Yeah, Grigg looked a world-beater at times against pro 12/14 opposition but was never able to take the step up. I think we will see with Sione, but he's fun to watch.
  2. It's annoying Ospreys are in this. Only one team playing rugby and you almost get punished for it.
  3. Sione is a good player at this level. He's an even better prime Nick Grigg l.
  4. Wish Glasgow would please put a player or two into our own rucks.
  5. The Quinns v Exeter game is a bit if a shitfest, but very tense and watchable. Exeter got a guy sent off for trying to break Marler's neck. Gray has been immense.
  6. Edinburgh absolutely strolling it, Cardiff are really shite. I mean, you get all these Welsh commentators moaning about how bad the URC is and how they need to get to the Premiership, but I get the feeling they wouldn't be as upset if their teams weren't so utterly shite.
  7. One word FALKIRK Not even just Falkirk. Despite all the whinging and moaning our fans do, when you look at the state of some of our peer clubs like Falkirk, Dunfermline, Morton, Partick Thistle, we are doing ok for a shambolicly run, financially fucked, front for whatever Kibble's latest evil plan that nobody can talk about is.
  8. There were quite a few of Stubbs signings that were not only total shite, but came across as complete wankers as well. Heaton was a total fucking dick. King as well, and I'm sure Coulson was mouthing off about the Scottish players at the club as well, doing the Joey Barton routine of "I was actually too good for them". It was just a horrible few months for the club all round. At least Cody Cooke was a nice guy!
  9. For the shit managers we've had in recent years, each of them had a case for the defence. Craig had been with the club a few years, was by all accounts a nice guy. Signed some utter shite, but also lost Thommo which was a huge blow he proby didn't see coming. Teale was a bit the same, got McLean sold out from under him and we were probably already doomed. Murray again signed some shite, but seemed a nice enough guy just miles out his depth. Rae saved us in his first season but fucked up the summer transfer window. To be honest, most of the players he signed were alright players, (not Hutton), but he just signed the wrong ones and neglected to bother with a midfeild. He'd also have probably been given a lot more time if the new owners hadn't been desperate to sack him so they could bring Ross in. Stubbs there is nothing. The fact the only one of his signings looked on with any fondness by the St Mirren fans is Cody Cooke says a lot. I'm usually pretty happy clappy and willing to give people a go, but I remember going to the league cup group game against Queens Park and sitting there thinking how we were completely fucked. The team he assembled was worse than the one Rae left Ross. Stubbs team wouldn't have stayed up in the Championship. I genuinely don't think any of the guys above deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as that c**t.
  10. I genuinely believe Stubbs was a bad guy who fucked us over on purpose.
  11. Yeah, I've been trying to think if big successes we've picked up in January over the past few seasons, and to be honest, I can think of a few with McGinn, Loy, Davies, Eckersley, Hladky, Popescu, Ross Wallace, Famewo, McGrath and McCarthy. Been a fair few shiters as well mind you.
  12. It's not always feeding off scraps to be honest, it's a balance, there are plenty of good players that become available, or at least more available to teams like St Mirren as the window goes on. Getting everyone in straight away may mean you miss out on someone you'd have liked to have had later on.
  13. So every sport gets preferential treatment over football then really.
  14. Yeah, but club rugby wasn't allowed crowds either. That's pretty much an example of football and rugby being treated the same is it not? Were there no football test events? I thought there were.
  15. It'll be lifted at the very latest for the old firm game.
  16. I reckon it'll be back to normal at the end of the winter break. Nothing will be moving to England, rugby or football. They won't let that happen.
  17. That's absolutely not how old Firm fans are treated by the police in the west of Scotland anyway.
  18. Yeah, I think most Buds would rather see him coming off the bench than than Erwin/Dennis/Main, who just haven't done enough. Could argue Erwin maybe hasn't had the chance this season, but it is what it is. Also, guys like Reid, Offord and Henderson have also shown that whilst raw and young, they all have enough about them to be squad players at this point and can be relied on in an emergency at the very least. I actually quite like Gogic and think he could do a job for us, but with Reid definitely in contention for one of the midfeild spots, it seems like a player we don't need. Hopefully Goodwin is more focused on the type of players we all know we need. Going from his recent press interviews it sounds like he is to be fair.
  19. Ref is having a shocker to be fair. Absolutely lost the plot and in a big massive huff with Arsenal because they are right and he's making a c**t of himself.
  20. Fair enough, I remembered Livi having a strong end to the season, arguably being the best team in the league, formwise at least, by the end, but never really troubling St Mirren for top spot who had wrapped it up with a few weeks to go.
  21. LookHow you got to the playoffs is as big a sign of your chances than how strong each league is perceived to be. When St Mirren stayed up we were probably underdogs in the playoff, against a Dundee United team that had better players than us, but we'd fought our way into the playoffs having looked like a very good bet for automatic relegation all season, whereas Dundee United were probably very dissapointed to be there having failed to make a real fist of automatic promotion. Killie and Thistle both came up against Dundee and Livi teams who had really flown into the playoffs and were in their best form of the season at that point.
  22. Days gone is one of my favourite "bad" games. It's pretty stupid, and dead cheesy, but the actual gameplay I think is pretty good fun, and the motorbike handles really well. I've played through it twice and regretted nothing.
