  1. Any planning application will need a transport plan which includes these things and probably a traffic study to assess the impact. It's also pretty easy to search councils' websites to see planning applications and accompanying drawings and reports (I'm just not that bothered to actually do it).
  2. I flew from Glasgow Airport this morning and they have some really good offers for anyone flying outside the UK- back to the good old days of Duty Free. Unfortunately I was on a domestic flight but it's worth bearing in mind for anyone due to fly abroad.
  3. As an outsider, this looks an interesting proposal but I do find it surprising you're being allowed to build in a greenbelt country park. Do you have outline planning approval for this? I appreciate you are looking to bring in money by selling the existing ground for development but the site looks fairly small and hemmed in. Looking at the size of it on Google Maps compared to surrounding housing I'm not sure you would get that many on the site.
  4. That's the Christian definition of the Advent season (it also extends a good bit after Christmas) and where Advent calendars stem from. When I was wee my parents went by the (traditional according to them) 12 days before, 12 days after and I've tried to stick by that but normally get nagged into the weekend before that.
  5. It wouldn't surprise me if O'Donnell has a slight knock (code for absolutely knackered and fair play to him for it).
  6. I would say it's less peated and I prefer it to the Bowmore which I need to be in the mood for. I don't know about the standard Islay Ben Bracken though.
  7. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=682411219165561 Yes, they were very similar. As I said (not very clearly), the goal against Spain was right in front of me in the old enclosure in front of the main stand.
  8. I feel as though I should whisper this but we've got the Lidl brochure through the door advertising their 18yo Islay Ben Bracken starting tomorrow at £39.99.
  9. I was replying to the post directly above mine which referred to the France 2-0 and Spain 3-1 games but I should have said it was the Spain game I was in the enclosure for. I was behind the goals at the France game. Yes, Johnston scored both goals- think he was playing for Nantes at the time.
  10. This comes up fairly regularly on here and I'm also in the pro-Derek Ferguson camp just down to his enthusiasm. His coverage of the Motherwell v Hibs 6-6 game a while ago was tremendous and brightened up my dad's stay in hospital at the time. He's also acknowledged he didn't stick in at school and isn't the most eloquent but he's still very good at describing the action.
  11. I got one of the soakings of my life at that France game and I think it was in the old enclosure (more family friendly) in front of the main stand - worm's eye view but right in line with Dalglish's belter[emoji7]
  12. I had been thinking that. There are a lot of supporters of other teams (including myself) who live in Glasgow. Admittedly we are very much in the minority but by that logic you'd be as well wiping out every town and city in the country due to the presence of Celtic and Rangers supporters in them.
  13. Ah, go on then. I didn't need much persuasion. Agreed, a lovely beer.
  14. To outsiders it probably looks as though Motherwell have had a fairly strong start but don't underestimate the strength of feeling against the style of play. I reckon pressure would build pretty quickly on Alexander with a poor run (although I hope not).
  15. I appreciate the salary has to come out of contributions but can you get much experience for £25-30k? Genuine question as I really don't know.
  16. Maybe we won't hear much from Craig tomorrow morning! Anyway, 71 Brewing's Frontal Skies Baltic Porter is lovely and rich but not to be messed with at 7%.
  17. Cheers. The 18yo Islay from Lidl was tremendous at £35 last year. Finished my bottle a few weeks ago so will keep an eye out.
  18. I've tried a few times but I still don't understand that last sentence.
