Quick Question Thread

Recommended Posts

I think mine must be very odd. He never asks for anything much, so I've never had to do anything about pocket money. I've just been adding money into a child bank account for him for years. Every now and then he'll express an interest in something and I'll ask if he wants to use some of his money for it and he'll say, "nah, I'm not that interested in it".

I appear to have raised a Scottish stereotype.

Edit: he literally has more money now than I do, by the way. Now that we're potless due to the pandemic, the wee shit's enjoying rubbing in his personal wealth.

Yeah, ours has thousands in one of those Child Trust Funds that the government briefly set up, so he'll be able to drink himself to death in the week after his 18th birthday.

I've been telling him for ten years that the Tories stole £250 from him, as they did away with the payment that Labour promised kids on their seventh birthday. Got to let them know early who the bad guys are.

Tax him.

10% messy bedroom tax

15% not eating your greens tax

25% not doing your homework tax.

"I've converted all your savings into Beer Bonds. You may get a return. You probably won't".

How long can people on here hold their breath for?

Does anyone know, when was the last time anyone tried it? Anybody freakishly good at it. I've not tried in a long time but I'm certain I'd be shite at it. 30 seconds or something.

Ears started ringing at 14secs.

Stomach started jerking and was really, really struggling about 35secs.

Edit : just Googled it and you're not "meant" to start convulsing until around 2minutes. Oh dear Dele. :(

I love that commitment I'm going for it right now.

Edit - I got 1 minute and 1 second. Glad to know I could survive a whole minute without more oxygen.

Currently the PnB champion too.

When I was about 12 I went through a phase of this. After much practice I'm sure I got to about 1 minute 15 seconds.

I used to have asthma and I smoke, probably the tubbiest I've been for a while, not exercised properly in 8 months and I managed first time 1 minute 1 second so I must say your record is not the best...

I asked my maw, she's in her 60s and probably has  had a few tonight and she sent me this...

Up your game.

Just now, Pato said:

Nope, my secret was closing my eyes

See I recommended that and did it myself but clearly didn't work too well.

I'm going to improve. I shall train and eventually beat @ThatBoyRonaldo and his made up number.

4 minutes is what I'm going for eventually.

Just looked and apparantly someone has done 24 minutes... bruh...
