buchan30
but will be interested to learn if the Nisbet/ Duggan partnership is as toothless as it reads on paper. It has been. Not had one proper shot on target.
Raithie
So Valentine, Watson and McKay are the sole reasons we are losing?Doesn’t bode well if we are having to rely on several younger players to put out a team. Pumped by Cowden, geezo.

The reasons we are losing are because of Davo and Bene. We’ve let a fucking Mark Yardley lookalike score against us, not only once but twice... Embarrassing.

McGuigan1978
I can’t believe six defenders and two defensive midfielders failed to create much. Gobsmacked.

It was. Nisbet in particular was absolutely anonymous. Duggan managed to miss an absolute sitter as well. This could be a long old season.

Wether or not Smith could do much about it, its a bit of a shiter that we could be starting the season with those problems, let alone what Hearts will do to that lineup next week. Early days of course Renton but he is the man in charge, he decided who to sign and what kids to let go. If it transpires He has signed toothless strikers and chocolate midfielders then he will be fair game, even more so if Court and Bell go on to do well at Bayview and McCann makes the grade at Eastend.

McGuigan1978
Even with all those guys missing, being comprehensively outplayed for the entire second half was pretty concerning.
Brashy's Boots
I worked harder getting to my seat than Nisbet did all game. And I put in just as many challenges as him too.

renton
Of course, on top of that we have no idea whether the likes of Flanagan or Milne will actually improve our situation, because neither has managed a fucking pre season.

roverthemoon
First building block in the nightmare scenario today. Poor early season performances lead to fans turning against Smith. Club stick by him until atmosphere is poisonous. He eventually gets sacked. New manager comes in burdened with all the duds Smith signed for the season. Mid-table mediocrity beckons. Of course today could just be a blip. You never know with the Rovers. Regardless the league cup ‘campaign’ is fucked before it even started. Treat the rest of the games as meaningless friendlies to get ready for the league Edited July 14, 2018 by roverthemoon
