Which is why there has been no statement so far, shitting themselves trying to come with a response as to why we have (potentially) sold our most promising talent to the 1st club to come in and offer pennies.

baillieinleeds
It’s always Raith Rovers that seem to go arse over tit. The Hybrid system was working. We go full time and it turns to shit……again

We go full time and it turns to shit……again You mean we let one part time player go. The problem here is not the presence or absence of some part timers, but the willingness of the club to allow our bankable talent leave at the drop of the hat for a relative pittance at a time when we should be looking to build a team around them. Not sure the presence of Keiran MacDonald or Grant Anderson would change that.
Double Jack D
Watched the McGlynn interview and it sounds like they are going to operate, rehab and hopefully get LV playing again. Everything crossed for the lad, would give him my knees if I could.

I wonder if it's due to COVID restrictions easing....... A lot of roles within the club are carried out by volunteers. Maybe during last season those volunteers were on furlough or able to work from home and could prepare statements/upload content/come up with ideas for new content quickly. Maybe the reason we are seeing content suffering now is because they are back at work full-time? I don't know this, I'm just speculating, but it would make sense. Obviously it doesn't excuse basic things like releasing ticket prices etc either. Edited September 1, 2021 by stevoraith

Hank Scorpio
That McGlynn interview about Vaughany is a tough watch [emoji22] Aye, and not just because it’s going in and out of focus for the full 11 minutes either.
embow
Critics of the Rovers communication can compare ours with communication from Hibs on this. Oh! Wait! What have Hibs said about this? Zilch far as I can see to date. You'd have thought they'd be wanting to tell the world and its dug about all of its new deals. However, that's not to say something has maybe been done and is as yet incomplete, for whatever reason, which restricts both parties from going public.

stevoraith
Does anyone think for a second that the club simply haven’t bothered to put out a statement on a done deal? There must be some sort of hold-up or hitch which means the deal isn’t done and dusted one way or another.

Me saying the communications have been piss poor is a bit harsh really, but it does seem apparent that they're a bit short staffed and struggling to keep everything updated and getting communications out early.

Skyline Drifter
I think you can pretty safely assume if neither club has suggested by noon the day after that Dylan Tait changed hands then he hasn't. He's still registered to Raith Rovers.
roverthemoon
Might be imagining things, but I’m sure someone on the radio earlier this week said clubs get 24 hours to tie up loose ends so the real window shut moment is tonight. Might be the finer details simply being ironed out before anyone announces anything officially.

You can't nip anything in the bud if the current state of affairs deems it not possible for whatever reason for either club to go public and make a comment.
Scottydog
Problem is Scottish clubs clearly don't have the money to take a punt on players the way Fulham did with Bowie. The only players Scottish clubs will go large on are recognised goal scorers but even then we rarely get to know the details. Nisbet, Shankland and Dykes all left championship clubs for Premier league outfits but for how much? I'll bet none went for an awful lot more than double the figure allegedly quoted for Dylan and bear in mind those guys were all on fire scoring for their clubs at that time. I'd dearly love to see us get £200k+ for Tait but I can't see it at this point, maybe if he has a great season and an English club came in for him but a Scottish club? Naw. At this point in time I'd take £100k + Addons + Loans (Tait & Gullan). Given our luck with serious injuries it's not hard to see how it can go even more pear shaped very quickly.
