The artificial pitch rule could be a massive issue to us. As stated the staduim owner has the business model for it to pay for itself through pitch use. What is to say that the staduim owner just says no we are not changing?. It's going to be some amount if cash yo buy him out.

Chuck some grass seed on it and call it a hybrid pitch, problem solved 😂

The silence coming from the club ref contracts, who's being kept, who's released etc is deafening

Is it? It's a Saturday. We only started putting offers out this week. I imagine we'll see a final list on Monday.

We only finished on Sunday most other teams have a 2 week head start on us for stuff like this.

Plus we seem to have been focusing our energies on new recruitment which tell you all you need to know.

Given early studies in the EPL and EFL show hybrid pitches may cause more injuries, I would expect that the Premiership will also vote to ban hybrid pitches immediately…preferably by a 9-3 vote.

Considering the plastic element is les than 5% of the total area I fear for the natural product.

On the serious front, the problem is natural detritus burying the fibres and causing the hybrid pitches to become more slippery…hence the injuries. It comes down to maintenance issues, much like a poorly maintained plastic pitch is worse/more dangerous.

On the party front, Snoop can tell you that artificial stuff will hurt you.

Quick question folks - when season tickets went on sale last year, was there an option to split the payments over a set period of time e.g. three months?

Yeah, checked the post from last year and you could spread it from 4 to 10 months.

Went to watch the community foundation 2011 team today in their cup final at Lochgelly Alberts ground. For a junior team, even their grass pitch is much better than Dens Park. Like a carpet at this late stage of the season.

The community foundation is doing a lot of good things, the kids were all execellent, even though they lost on penalties in the end. Only down side was the way their head coach and his assistant focused on criticising the mistakes instead of encouraging and reaffirming. Really poor to see at that age level.

You’ll see lots of that once it’s competitive football. Part and parcel of things sadly.

Do Lochgelly have huge stands on 4 sides of the ground affecting sunlight and wind flow across the pitch 🤷‍♂️

I agree, but it shouldn't just be "one of those things". Hopefully the influence of Potter and the new GM will start to change that.
