Funnily enough Easton has been a passenger since December. There are a few of our players who either need a kick up the backside or moved on based on their performances in 2024.

100% agree with this, since his goal up at Tannadice before Xmas he has been nothing more than an annoying show pony

Never like to see anyone get the sack but in truth Murrays game management and tactics were poor even when he managed Airdrie with mass panic substitutions usually too late after losing a goal but I also think that Raith are now going in now to win league  having realised that experienced player signings can be costly as well as being over loyal to the existing players who have not been results wise poor since Jan 2024 .Difficult gig for new manager since it appears budget spent and contract compensation due

Well this isnt the start of the season we all thought... here was me thinking we would bring some players in to build on last season and get us competing at top of league again.. not the manager being fired after one game. His post match interview was a weird one.. felt like he was taking a swipe at player recruitment, the physio, the fitness coach, the players and everyone bar himself.

Thanks for last season though, it was a fun ride while it lasted.

It's peak Raith though. It's what we do. Get ourselves into a promising situation and press the self-destruct button.

CEO spoke last week or week before about more players coming in, so budget isn't spent.

Terminating a contract doesn't mean paying it out in full. There are many ways to part company for much less, contractual or by other legal agreement. I've no idea what clauses IMs contract contains but none of us do. It may cost a lot less than many think.

Budget isn’t spent Barrowman literally came out and said there’s still money to make a few more signings 🤷‍♂️ and I doubt his payout will come out of that playing budget as well

Can’t remember the background (someone from school told someone else type thing) but apparently so yep

Fact it is then. Ffs master Imrie. Wait, did he go to school with Ian McCall? If he did it might not be a fact.

Easton spoke to Dunfermline towards the end of last season but we unsurprisingly didn’t meet coin demands. Maybe we can get him on the cheap now as he’ll be looking for a way out.

Very much doubt it… signed a 2 year deal so we hold all the cairds and would your board really pony up the cash if he was available after the track record over the last few windows?

You mean the Dylan Easton that from Tannadice onwards scored another 3 goals and 1 assist in the league, compared to 4 goals and 2 assists before it? That one less goal and assist means he was an annoying show pony?

Any rumours circulating Kirkcaldy as to what has actually happened with Murray and the club?

Apparently he asked for a pay-rise in line with the increase in catering income of c.500% and Colin Smart went apeshit and sacked him on the spot.

The bottom line is we look horribly slow and unfit.

Whether the board have called Murray out on that, or whether Murray has called someone out whose specific remit is fitness, to the chagrin of the board, who knows?

What was the attendance at yesterday's game. Thought I read just over 1400. Why would anyone want to manage in front of 1k fans when things are good.

There was over 2k at the game yesterday.
