Had a boiled egg this morning for my breakfast - absolutely delicious. I haven’t bought a supermarket egg since March last year as we now have an egg dealer. Hens and duck eggs every week. Tremendous.

Not sure it necessarily "works" for them. Surely they just need to think that it will? My guess is that the thought process is Low self esteem/unhappiness> beautiful people are confident /happy>beautiful people have big lips>if i have big lips i will be happy/confident. I doubt anyone sets out to look like a haemorrhoid cushion.

You'd think after the first wave of this that people would stop doing it, but thats not what has happened. Yeah i guess it's another of those false summits of the consumerist ideal in much the same way as the new iphone or a massive BMW
The Moonster
Does anyone else feel that patience is no longer a thing? I've noticed it especially in the last year in my work and today I received the perfect example - guy emails an enquiry at 11.25am, sends me a reminder at 1pm asking when he'll get an answer. I find work colleagues want everything done there and then too, everything is urgent these days and nothing done to a planned schedule. Am I just bumping into a disproportionate number of c***s or has everyone forgotten how to chill the f**k out?

When I had a desk job I’d email folk to say I’ve got their email but that I’m very busy akd that it could take a couple of days before they’d get a reply. (Obviously even longer if there’s an important event like Falkirk getting relegated).

What do they think will happen if someone needs to wait a bit longer? As you say, they need to chill the f**k out.

If I'm taking numerous days to get back to you a reminder is completely fair, but sending an email at 11am and expecting an answer before 1pm is lunatic behaviour. If I know it'll take me a while to reply I'll do as you say but standard enquiries can f**k off.

I've very recently started telling people in a half delicate, half condescending way that their urgent queries aren't urgent at all. I've also started pointing out when people email me doublers in a passive aggressive way like "per my previous, you will find etc". I've also very recently started telling people I'm not particularly interested in their work. "Oh, I really need this looked at urgently" - "no, I can't". Bliss.
