Ex Machina
Crossfaith last night were immense. Had the entire room bouncing. Put similar bands like Enter Shikari to shame.
Ross.
The Libertines last Thursday, supported by Reverend and the Makers. Both acts were tremendous and both were spoiled by the shiteness of the crowd. I struggle with the attitude of most gig goers here. It's so far removed from what I'm used to in the UK.
GrahamJags
Bought tickets for White Denim and Isaac Gracie today, as well as a ticket for Elvana (an Elvis-fronted Nirvana tribute band) which should be a laugh. Got Churches on Saturday the the Hydro who I'm not fussed with at all, only going to see The Twilight Sad who are supporting. Will probably stay to see Churches because Never Ending Circles and Lies are great tunes, and hopefully their other stuff sounds better live than it does on record. Absolutely buzzing to see The Sad though.
Ira Gaines
I'm interested in seeing Twilight Sad in the Hydro. Seems like a good venue for them. Might not even make CHVRCHES because of work but actually optimistic on that count.
GrahamJags
I'm interested in seeing Twilight Sad in the Hydro. Seems like a good venue for them. Agreed. Think the sound will either suit them perfectly or it will go tits up and turn into an echoey mess. For the sake of their upcoming Cure support gigs in arenas far bigger than the Hydro, I'm hopeful its the former.
the snudge
The White Buffalo playing at the abc in July is tempting.

Ira Gaines
Not the biggest attendance for CHVRCHES. Loads of the seating shut off. Standing absolutely mobbed though.

Probably enjoyed "Clearest Blue", "Under the Tide" and "Tether" more than anything else.
Alan Stubbs
Not the biggest attendance for CHVRCHES. Loads of the seating shut off. Standing absolutely mobbed though. Think she said at one point that there 8k there. Bit of an awkward demand to accommodate venue- wise. Think the set up they hard worked pretty well. Good gig, for a band with two albums and the odd soundtrack single, they've got a very solid set. Decent crowd in to see The Twilight Sad as well.

Mr. Brightside
I thought Chvrches were superb last night. Empty Threat and Tether were superb. Afterglow was good as well. It was all good though.
GrahamJags
Thought The Twilight Sad were absolutely superb last night. Didn't even play Birdhouse and their set was still perfect. As I've said previously, I'm not a massive Churches fan and didn't think they were great last night. Lauren's vocals during the first three or four songs were shocking, but Empty Threat was fantastic. I feel sorry for the other two guys who no one really gave a shit about since 90% of the crowd (as far as I could see) were lassies that were just there to scream at Lauren.

I'd never really heard much Twilight Sad until I got tickets for this gig but I really enjoyed their set, although I missed the start. Agree that the vocals were a bit ropey at the start, think that might've been sound issues. Once she got through that they were fine and I thought it was a great gig. Enjoyed Afterglow and Gun. Every hipster in Glasgow was there I think.
